I think its a little more likely then Dredd 2 I can't imagine something like Pacific Rim being one of those low budget movies.

Did Pacific Rim underperform? I can't see why it would be so hard to make a sequel.

Did $101.8 million here on a budget of $190 million.
Combined with international it made $411 million. That's low performance by just looking at the budget size.
How has PR fared in video sales? Did it get love in that market?

It did a hell of lot better than Dredd domestically. But then again almost every film performed better than Dredd.

I assumed it'd become a cult fave on video and steaming. It didn't do well at all in Japan, surprisingly. I seriously don't think a sequel is in the cards. I'm staggered that the film exists at all, to be honest.

Based in her filmography and the reception associated out of her work... Seems like she's a solid actor.
Hunnam does good in Sons of Anarchy. In PR his character isn't all that well written possibly. He's got stuff there but it doesn't display much out of cliche.

I liked Hunnam in PR but felt he should have been the supporting character whereas Kikuchi should have been the lead. Mako had a more compelling backstory than Raleigh.

No shit.
I totally would have loved to see an expansion of what we got from her past. That Kaiju was awesome. Also that kid was selling her role very well. Usually kids crying in a movie annoy me but the context probably made it better to tolerate.
And it was another daytime fight! We didn't even see it aside from like her kid POV. I love you GDT but damnit, man. That and the Stryker fight would have been awesome to fully see. Just cuz they are day time fights. The film is so good looking at night but just to have variation in showing a full daytime fight from whichever (or both) little skirmishes we saw would have been awesome. Stryker was fast as hell.

And puts in wildly amounts of detail into the fight. That 2nd Gypsy fight is an orgasm of detail.

I would rather see del Toro do a 3rd Hellboy film than a Pacific Rim sequel.

Funny you bring that up. That was one thing I noticed when I got the BD. who does that? No normal director would care about putting that into the character as he's circling around. GDT apparently thought it was necessary. Good for him.
It's funny how you can see more and more detail after repeated viewings.
This. I want the trilogy to end.
I'd also like that Lovecraft film to happen. Was So close to happening.
