Don't know. Never owned a copy or seen the DVD. I did notice that the version of Tale of Two Sisters that's up for pre-order is also being released by Tartan. I thought that company went bankrupt or something.

Re: Best Korean director.

Tartan was sold to Palisades so it technically should be released by "Palisades Tartan" which is the name assigned to those films.

Re: Best Korean director.

Wikipedia:

Palisades Tartan is a US and UK film distribution company, founded by US-based Palisades Media Group to take over the film library of Tartan Films after it folded in Summer 2008
I thought they folded later cuz I got that Oldboy tin set. Though...I can't remember from what seller and what price.

Wait. What films have they released on BD asides from the Vengeance trilogy?

It is Region Free and here's a link with the vitals:

of course, that worked for me selling my 9 songs blu-ray, but that's another story.

American Tartan releases have included the OOP Vengeance trilogy TIN (expensive) and regular editions, the standalone Oldboy, the upcoming black editions (BS) of Oldboy and Tale of Two Sisters, as well as 9 Songs (OOP, expensive), Lourdes, Hidden Blade, Triad Trilogy, 36th Precinct, and Matrimony. Nowhere near as many awesome titles as came out on DVD years and years ago.

Really hope we can see some of their titles soon, hopefully not under the black (ie pay us more, bitches) line. Natural City is great, H is pretty cool, Marebito was fantastic, H6 actually has a good creepy atmosphere, Cello is respectable, and while it was flawed, I did like Ab-Normal Beauty. R-Point remains one of my favorites.

Some of their titles suck, though. Sheitan was garbage, Memento Mori was blah,

http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_no...rds=tartan+blu

this says something: every title is damn near out of stock, so they're probably OOP.

I bought Tokyo for $12.63 via 3rd market seller back in 2010.
