X-Men franchise vs Iron Man franchise
Just wanted to see if I was the only person to prefer the X-Men movies. The X-Men franchise includes X-Men 1-3 and First Class but not the Wolverine movies, and the Iron Man franchise consists of Iron Man 1-3 and not Avengers for the purpose of this poll.

The X-Men franchise has higher peaks and lower lows, but I'd rather watch the best X-men movie(X2) than the best Iron Man movie(IM1?).

Re: X-Men franchise vs Iron Man franchise
Your DC fanboyism is showing. I'm a DC fanboy too, but I like Marvel's movies despite not liking Marvel comics since the early 90s.
Anyway, I picked Iron Man mostly because of RDJ. He was the perfect actor for the role. I wasn't a particularly big fan of First Class, so for me the X-Men movies are 2 for 4.

Iron Man by a hair, although I would agree that X2 is the best movie out of the bunch. Although I'm weird and feel like I liked IM2 more then most, disliked IM3 more then most, didn't hate X3, and didn't think all that much of First Class.

I despise the X-Men movies with the exception of First Class. Strange considering I was such an X-Men fan. Iron Man destroys the XM franchise.

Re: X-Men franchise vs Iron Man franchise
i enjoyed X-Men trilogy more as a whole (even 3); as well as, First Class, than the Iron Man trilogy eventhough I absolutely loved the first IM.

X2 and Iron Man 1 are both great.
Iron Man 2 and X-men 3 are both terrible.
Iron Man 3 was better than X-men 1.
First Class was ok.
Iron Man wins by a hair.

X-Men 2 is easily the best movie of either franchise. I am contractually obligated to pimp DC Comics, but I will admit X-Men 2 is very likely the best superhero movie ever made.
The Iron Man franchise is wildly overrated. The first one was a fun surprise. I will watch X-Men 3 ten times in a row before I ever watch Iron Man 2 again.

IMHO....X-Men: First Class is the best of all the X-men and Iron Man films.

Re: X-Men franchise vs Iron Man franchise
I have tried to like the X-Men movies but they just do nothing for me. I have watched them a few times each thinking I would come around but nothing. I have no idea why since I do enjoy most comic book movies. Hell, I liked Wolverine: Origins better than the first three X-Men movies and everyone seems to hate that film.
I never was a big X-Men reader when I was a kid but I didn't like Iron Man or Thor and I love their movies. I have no explanation for it.

I'm going to have to go with Iron Man
Xmen 2 > Iron Man 1
Iron Man 3 > Xmen 1
Iron Man 2 >Xmen 3
First class was pretty good.
Xmen 2 > Iron Man 1
Iron Man 3 > Xmen 1
Iron Man 2 >Xmen 3
First class was pretty good.

Not a big fan of either series, but thought X-Men 2 was the best film in either series.
Close, but I voted X-Men.

Re: X-Men franchise vs Iron Man franchise
Obviously it's Fantastic Four.
I'm a bigger fan of the X-men in general than I am of Iron Man, and I also prefer teams, so I'll go X-men. I didn't think the first X-men was anything special, and thought Iron Man 1 was a better film/introduction to the character, but I liked X-2 and I didn't mind X-3, and First Class as a reinvention was pretty good (even though it was basically the Xavier/Magneto show, and I felt they broke them up prematurely).

Re: X-Men franchise vs Iron Man franchise
Kinda tough to vote considering one franchise is an ensemble while the other is mainly a solo franchise. Iron Man is more fun, but there's some good drama to X-Men. I will go with X-Men because the villains in Iron Man aren't the best.
