Talking about Feige... he was easily the most interesting person on the Thor 2 commentary. I knew he was a nerd but he really does love the Marvel comics. I really wish they'd just give him his own commentary cuz he was very interesting.

Off topic a bit but not much else going on here:
For me: If one wanted to get into Wonder Woman, what would the comic fans here recommend?
For my daughters: of those recommendations, would any be appropriate for girls under 10?

The animated film put out a while back was pretty good. I'm honestly not that familiar with the character aside from some basic knowledge about her.

George Perez's WW series might work. A big omnibus of all his work was just announced, so you can probably find the paperback versions cheaply.

Seriously though, the New 52 Wonder Woman has been good. It's one of the best comics of the New 52. At least the first 35 issues written by Brian Azzarello were good. A new writer took over with issue #36, and I have heard it's not as good, but I haven't read it myself yet.
The New 52 Wonder Woman is very new reader friendly because it is a reboot with a new origin. I am not sure how appropriate it would be for a 10 year old though since I am not the best at judging things like that. It is heavily steeped in Greek mythology with all the Greek gods like Zeus, Apollo, Hades, etc running around.
You could go with older runs like the Perez run someone else mentioned, but it's old and dated and no longer relevant in the New 52. It was a good run, but I'm not sure how much a 10 year old or any other first time reader would enjoy it since it's so old.

Yeah. I've been digging the new 52 WW.
There is some sex stuff that probably wouldn't be appropriate for a 10 year old. It's not like graphic but just the subject of it cuz... Greek gods and fucking. It gets weird sometimes.

You mean like how Zeus is her daddy but wants to bone her? Which makes sense when you consider the fact that he's married to his sister, Hera. Greek/Roman gods are really effed up.

Among other things too. I really really dig the new 52 WW issues.
I've always liked WW but have never really gone out to read an arc or anything. I know her foes, her history, and etc. But unless she was in a JL issue, my active reading of her heroics are rather mum.

Cool, thanks guys. I'll pick up the New 52 for me and see how it goes. Might look into that Perez Omnibus in the Fall.

Azarello's New 52 WW is almost more a horror book than a superhero book. I wouldn't suggest it for under 10. Unless things like decapitated horses are unlikely to bother her.

I think that was the comic that brought me back to reading more DC. haven't checked out the New 52 WW but ill get to it once I'm done with the New 52 Batman
You know which other comic I really enjoyed the Flashpoint arc with all its tie-ins. Very far out story.. wait is this the comic thread

Yeah, I loved that book but it goes to some real dark places. Especially when it comes to a certain flashback in the Watchtower. Definitely not for a 10 year old.

I wasn't a real fan of Azarello's WW either. Honestly about the only really "iconic" run on WW was Perez's. She never had as many good creators try writing her as Batman or Superman.

I'm afraid to complain, but screw it...
If true, i'd be very disappointed that something like that is only back story and not actually realized on screen.

It feels like the way this is being done a huge chunk of story is going to feel like its missing or like they're presuming that everyone knows the backstory to Batman. Granted some may but that's something that's never been explored in a mainstream film.
