Fox own this character? I would be surprised if thats the case. Gladiator was part of the whole Guardians of the Galaxy-verse and not Fantastic Four or really X-Men related. It would be interesting to see an article with the break down of which studios own which characters at this point. More and more seem to be reverting to Marvel which in my opinion is a great thing.

Groot or Vision are the only ones that make sense and are significant.

I think they're going to reboot X-Men, with a new backstory for Professor X.

They're going to have Professor X as a young, kick-ass, tattooed, wise-cracking tough guy who's a top-notch street racer and car thief. He gets in a terrible accident that leaves him in a wheelchair, and with telepathic powers. He puts together a new mutant posse, and gets himself a tricked-out wheelchair. Then, the government comes to him for help in breaking up an evil mutant car theft ring, and he reluctantly agrees to help.

I don't know for sure about movie ownership, but Gladiator is part of the Shi'ar Imperial Guard, and the Shi'ar, though cosmic in nature, are very much affliated with the X-men. Gladiator's first appearance was in X-Men.

I see the title now: The Fast and Furious X-Men

I would pay to see this movie--with Vin Diesel in the role.

Re: What Does Marvel Want With Vin Diesel?

They were introduced and have primarily been associated with the X comics. Though it is a massive universe and characters roam about due to the realities of such things happening. They're X characters. Though they do associate themselves with galaxy related events that affect them. And honestly I would love to see them in a Marvel film. That goes for the Inhumans too. Another Fox thing, I think. I think I heard they were somehow different though and not Fox. So that'd be neat. But I'm pretty sure on anything Shiar being Fox cuz of the X-Men.

Pretty much any Marvel character that first appeared in an X-Men comic or known as a mutant is the exclusive movie property of Fox. Marvel would be sued if they tried to use Gladiator in any way.

So people can stop writing in fan letters to get Dazzler into the next Avengers.

Quiksilver is supposed to be used in both the upcoming Avengers and X-Men movies.

Supposedly Marvel had exemptions written into the Fox contract for the few mutant characters that appeared in the Avengers. But the contract was written in the '90s, long before the popular characters like Wolverine or Spider-Man were made regular Avengers.

I was thinking Black Bolt since there were rumors of an Inhumans movie.

Inhumans pretty much falls under Fantastic Four.

Re: What Does Marvel Want With Vin Diesel?

From everything I've read for years, it sounds like Marvel has the rights for an Inhumans movie.

See that's what I thought too but I've nothing to back it up. I just remember it being stated.

Re: What Does Marvel Want With Vin Diesel?

Marvel apparently does have the rights to The Inhumans, Kevin Feige talked to Entertainment Weekly about them earlier this year.

Re: What Does Marvel Want With Vin Diesel?

That's a good article.

I still would kill for a Black Panther film starring Djimon Hounsou.
