The biggest challenge is picking where to put the {sd}s. The questions themselves are rather obvious for most of them.

No more entries yesterday, so the list above is the one we'll be going with. Hoping to start this tomorrow, probably sometime around noon (Eastern time) - for those who want to/can be online.

Re: A Fistful of Sheep! (Clint Eastwood Sheep)

Nobody's here yet, Clint showed up early, and started talking to himself again....

Seriously though, looking to begin in about 2 hours...we'll knock off about 5 questions, take a break and knock off 5 more. Then, depending on how long the first 10 take, I'll get a consensus on if we want to continue with a few more or tackle the rest tomorrow.

First, another look at the players, as well as their starting scores:

RagingBull80 0
Rockmjd23 0
Boba Fett 0
tommyp007 0
Arpeggi 0
TBC 0
Cellar Door 0
Damfino 0
hasselin 0
Kal Varnsen 0
rocket1412 0
wishbone 0
devilshalo 0
Meglos 0
sleepyhead55 0
wd40cloud 0
dhmac 0
cruzness 0
cnicholls44 0
Jules Winfield 0
Crocker Jarmen 10
Ash Ketchum 10

What did I do to get the 10 points? I resubmitted my answers with the {sd} added like you told me. WTF?

I think resubmitting your answers got you the ten points.

Yes, you forgot your slam dunks, and it's a 10 point charge to resubmit your answers. I mentioned in my emails that there would be a 10 pt. penalty for this, since it's a resubmission. If you'd like to start at zero and lose your {sd}s we can do that too.

The only thing I DIDN'T dock players for is for clarification of an answer (i.e., answers that could be interpreted to be more than one scene in a particular movie).

Re: A Fistful of Sheep! (Clint Eastwood Sheep)

Scoring question for those of you familiar with the game...what happens if you slam dunk a Reverse, but your answer is unique? I'm thinking it shouldn't count against you/no effect on your score (just a wasted dunk), but I wanted to make sure.

It should convert it to a Sheep, making the unique worth 0. It's a wasted dunk, and worse.

Unless there are game-specific rules addressing it.

Thanks davidh777...unless there are any objections (other than the player that did it!), we'll score it that way. First time as sheepmaster, so I'm trying to not screw up the scoring on Reverse questions.

Just wanted to say that Clint Eastwood is a man with integrity and strong values who doesn't get fooled by "celebrity" politicians and support idiotic causes. Bravo Clint!

I misunderstood. I thought it was a 10-point penalty for NOT resubmitting. I still don't get the whole concept of {sd}'s anyway. And no amount of explaining is gonna help. Oh, well, it's not gonna make much of a damned difference anyway. Leave the {sd}'s in. They might help.

If you want to lose your slam dunks, speak now or forever hold your peace...we'll be starting in about 15 minutes.

Keep the dunks, Ash! They make the game more interesting, and will most likely make up your 10 points.

Re: A Fistful of Sheep! (Clint Eastwood Sheep)

Okay, just about ready to start...because Questions 2 and 3 were both reverse, it took me a little longer to do those, so there may be a bit of a gap between question 3 and 4 when we get to it...

As noted early, we're going to try to bang out 5 questions, then take a break and come back tonight (for players who might not be online right now)...probably around 6pm Eastern...and knock off 5 more questions.

Ash - no reply, so your dunks are locked in.

Re: A Fistful of Sheep! (Clint Eastwood Sheep)

I had a tough time with this one. There's obviously many choices, but my decision was between two. One old and one much less old.
