Comes out this weekend. Unsurprisingly, getting crushed by critics (10% right now). I had tickets to a screening last night, but gave them to a friend. Looks like I made the right choice.

Hmmm... The Variety review I read seemed positive enough. I will still check this out this weekend.

I think the problem I'm having this one is that the first one - for all it's silliness and raunchy bits - had a bit of heart behind the story. The idea of getting a re-do on bad moments from your childhood is a relatable concept, as is the teenage nostalgia. I'm not saying it should have won any Oscars or anything, but these elements elevated the film a little for me.
I'm not seeing even a hint of any heart or nostalgia in these trailers. Granted, if it's funny I won't care either way.

I have tickets to the 8pm showing tonight. I'm just hoping to laugh.

John Cusack was the worst part of first film. I mean he added nothing to the film and his storyline was just whatever....
This looks like a it will be a lot more fun. Not "Best ever", but still entertaining.

I'd be genuinely surprised if this film opens more to $5M this weekend. I went to an 8PM showing last night and there were maybe about fifteen people total in an auditorium that sits shy of 400.
The film is watchable despite the critics saying otherwise as there are laughs to be had as long as your a fan of Corddry, Robinson, or Duke. Even with the filmmakers dropping the weakest link (Cusack), the sequel isn't as good as the first one. It genuinely does feel the story gets in the way of Corddry, Robinson, and Duke riffing on one another. With that being said, the montage during the credits is by far and away one of the funnier aspects in the film because its the only time the film allows Corddry, Robinson, and Duke just to do their own thing.
The film also deserves a round of applause for getting the most attractive female in the cast (Bianca Haase) naked within the first 30 minutes.

The one woman on EW Radio was interviewing Craig Robinson and told him that she didn't like that there was some kind of ongoing homophobic joke that ran throughout the movie. She felt that movies shouldn't still be doing stuff like that. Anyone who's seen it care to comment?

I didn't find it to be homophobic due to the ultimate payoff of the joke.

This one had a few laughs, but only a few. It's a major case for never letting supporting characters get their own movie.

This was horrible. I had a few laughs but I enjoyed the first one way more.

The whole thing just felt like a raunchier take on Back to the the Future 2 with some dashes of Idiocracy. I enjoyed some of the future gags, but I found all the characters pretty unlikable this time around.

I wanted to hate this as I really don't care for Robb Cordrey, but I actually laughed more at this one that I did the first.
