I think Glover was the best part about the first movie. Well, that and boobs. I'd love to see the absurdity of the same kind of running joke.

I thought the first one was pretty funny when I saw it. This one doesn't look that good to me though. I barely even laughed at most of that trailer. Probably a rental unless I hear good things.

Yikes. LOVED the first one. But this looks like crap. John Cusack is a huge part of what made the first one so good, he anchored the dramatic portion of the film that made it more than just a straight ahead dick and fart joke ,gag comedy. It sort of reminded me of his 80's comedies.John Cusack gave it heart. Without him I just don't think it's gonna work. The trailer screams straight to video release to me. I'll probably wait for redbox to get it.

Meh. Trailer didn't get any laughs out of me. I thought Cordry invented Lougle?
It just feels like Cusack is missing and it seems kind of glaring from that footage. I'll rent it.

I only almost smiled twice during that trailer. Rental at best.

I'm going against everyone else on this one. I'm glad Cusack didn't return as he was the weakest link of the last entry.

Oh c'mon, the Lisa Loeb joke is hilarious. This looks amusing enough to check out - maybe not in the theater but I'm sure I'll see it.

I wonder if that trailer spoiled the final shot of the movie with

I agree with Chmiel, Cusack's character wasn't that great.

I know that wasn't directed at me, but Cusack has given so many great performances and has elevated a movie's quality over the years time and time again, that in the original here he didn't have a whole lot to do.
Say Anything is probably my favorite movie of all time.

Same here. I hate when trailers have the last scene or ending portions of the movie in them, even though you really don't know it until you see the movie. In this case, though, it seems fairly likely...

Christmas Exodus Continues as 'Hot Tub Time Machine 2' Pushes Back Release
4:52 PM PST 10/14/2014 by Pamela McClintock
Don't look for tickets to Hot Tub Time Machine 2, or family film Paddington, under the Christmas tree.
On Tuesday, both films abandoned their Dec. 25 release dates.
Instead, Paramount and MGM will instead open Hot Tub 2 on Feb. 20, 2015.
One possible reason for the shift is to avoid a direct showdown with Sony's Christmas Day comedy The Interview, starring Seth Rogen and James Franco, although that film will skew younger. Another reason could be Chris Rock's Top Five. Paramount acquired the dark comedy at the Toronto Film Festival in September, quickly slotting it for nationwide release on Dec. 12. The studio could want more room between the two films.
In a twinned move, Paramount is pushing back the release of Scouts vs. Zombies by eight months, from Feb. 20, 2015 to Oct. 20, 2015.
Hot Tub 2, directed by Steve Pink, stars Craig Robinson, Adam Scott, Rob Corddry, Chevy Case, Gillian Jacobs and Clark Duke.
Hours before Paramount announced it was pushing back the the sequel's release, The Weinstein Co. said it was moving British family film Paddington, based on the iconic children's book, from Dec. 25 to Jan. 16, 2015 the beginning of the long Martin Luther King Jr. holiday weekend.
There are still plenty of films to choose from over the Christmas holiday. Angelina Jolie's Unbroken, from Universal, and Disney's musical Into the Woods, starring Meryl Streep, Emily Blunt and Anna Kendrick, open nationwide Dec. 25, while Sony's musical Annie, Warner Bros.' The Hobbit: The Battle of the Dark Armies and Fox's Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb launch the week before.
