No, that'd be 5. Hell, even USA has been making fun of the fact that Vin Diesel and the Rock have a lot of sexual tension between them. Shit, I'm still waiting for them to kiss.
2 was the one that had Eva Mendes in it. It was my favorite in the series until 5 rolled along.

I guess Paul Walker never filmed the new Hitman reboot movie this summer. He was supposed to start working on it after finishing international press for F&F 6.
Nothing is listed on IMDB.

I admire this franchise for being one that actually got better in it's latter installments. I think this might be the only case, unless you want to count the Star Wars movies when viewed in chronological order.

Funny. You can already tell it's different in the visual. The tones of the color in there.

And it finally comes full circle...
EXCLUSIVE: Lucas Black, who starred in Fast & Furious 3: Tokyo Drift, is returning to reprise his Sean Boswell role in Fast & Furious 7. Black, most recently seen as Pee Wee Reese in the Jackie Robinson film 42, has signed a deal that calls for his character to become a regular in the series and he will be part of at least the next three installments of Universal Pictures’ most lucrative film franchise. Fast & Furious 7 will be released next July 11.
The next film will be directed by James Wan, who just helmed the scarily high grossing Insidious: Chapter 2. Scripted by Chris Morgan, the film stars Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, Dwayne Johnson, Tyrese Gibson, Jason Statham and Djimon Honsou. Neal H. Moritz and Diesel are the producers. This franchise shows no sign of running out of gas: the last film gave Universal its biggest worldwide opening in studio history, and it is the third highest worldwide grossing film of the year after Iron Man 3 and Uni/Illumination Entertainment’s Despicable Me 2. ICM Partners reps Black.

The whole thing is sort of fascinating, it's like when you watch footage shot by a director and taken out of his hands by a different editor, the whole filmmaking process has so many pieces. Wan comes out of the horror genre and likes dark colors and his visual palette will be much different that Lin, I'm sure.

It looks like Dwayne Johnson is still filming Hercules in Hungary. I believe I heard it wraps in October. Hopefully he'll be ready to jump right into this.

Debatable. What's so important about his character that's worth revisiting or maintaining continuity? Bring back that atrocious accent and horrendous acting for 1 film is one thing, but 3 more? Overkill.

I think this means I will have to wait until all nine are in a set to purchase any of the movies.
I don't mind having Black in it at all. Way I see it, Tokyo Drift will stand as something of a spin-off to set up the final three in the series.
