Good to know The Rock will be involved. Only reason I saw Part 5 and 6. Granted, I like who they are adding in Part 7 (the end of Part 6 is badass), but the Rock makes the movie for me.

Haven't seen 6 yet and am avoiding spoilers but I'd prefer if they just moved forward and forgot Tokyo Drift ever existed.

Just got out of seeing it 6.
Loved the twist at the end. Finally puts the Tokyo Drift movie behind us. 7 should make an interesting movie.

With the way this movie ended and the introduction to the newest villain, I think you kind of have to bring back Lucas Black. He and Han grew really close in Tokyo Drift and for all intents and purposes could be the replacement for Han on the team.
I read an interview with Diesel and supposedly 7 will be the start of a new trilogy. Supposedly Chris Morgan has the next 3 movies mapped out. I think I read that Chris Morgan already wrote the script for 7 and will be an Executive Producer on the next movie. His involvement for 8 and 9 would be the question mark since he has a TV series on FOX.

I've tried to block most of TD out of my mind but one thing I do remember was Lucas Black was a horrible actor and that's saying something when referring to a franchise like F&F. I think the only worse actor in the franchise would be Devon Aoki.

It's been 7 years since Tokyo Drift was released. I have to wonder if his appearance has changed a lot since then. Sung Kang has looked exactly the same.

I re-watched Tokyo Drift last night and Black had the most annoying smirk throughout the movie. I honestly wanted to punch the guy. Plus he had that really annoying Texas accent.

Interview with Wan:
What’s the status of Fast & Furious 7?
- I’m in the preproduction stage right now. I’m in the process of designing my action sequences, working on ideas, and fleshing out things that we want to do with the characters. That’s been really fun.
Are you going to have a 27 mile runway in this one?
- [Laughs uproariously] I’m going to have to top that, man! I’m going to make it 37. It’s going to be the runway that never ends.
Can you confirm that we will be seeing more of the gentleman who made a surprise cameo at the end of Fast & Furious 6?
- Um…Yes.
Do you feel like the new kid coming into this franchise?
- Okay, this is how I’ve been describing it: It is like being invited to a Thanksgiving dinner and the whole family’s at the dinner [table], already carving the turkey. And I walk in through the door and everyone stops and looks at me. And I’m standing there awkwardly going, “Hi! I’m here! Oh, that’s my seat? Okay, I’ll come and join the table.”
The other analogy that I use is that it’s like coming in and playing another person’s saved game. I know the characters, I know the stories, but now it’s up to me to pick it up from where it was left off and take it in a different direction — but a direction that has kind of been laid out, if that makes sense.
I have this vision of you suggesting something and Vin Diesel saying, “Yeah, we don’t do it like that around here.”
- [Laughs] You know what? I’m pretty sure there’ll be some of that down the pipe. Who knows?

Wan:
I really like the theme of this next one that we're going with. I can't really talk about it, but I like the theme; it's one that I really relate to. Then there's the drive of Number Seven, which was set up at the end of Number Six, which is a classic revenge story. I'm a big [genre] fan, so that's how I'm approaching it: I'm looking at it like a gritty, '70s revenge thriller, but one that still fits into the 'Fast and Furious' series.

Denzel Washington reportedly passed on being the "Villain" for Fast and Furious 8.
He would have had a cameo in 7 to help set up Part 8.

That's a shame. He would have been a great villain if he channeled his Training Day performance.

I don't think he'd fit in that world but it would be cool to see wtf that would be like.

Sounds cool. By this rate, my boner is going to be part of the movie as it'll extend the longest it ever has and burst through the screen.

Let's hope they make Tony Jaa a Thai Gangster. That would be awesome. I wonder how his English is.

He's such a horrible actor. Even by action actor standards. It will be cool to see how he is incorporated in this. He's a good add on. From what I remember last time, his accent is atrocious. I hope he doesn't talk a lot.
Kind of excited for this one. To see wtf Wan can do, Statham, and to see where they take a 7th film in a franchise.

After bringing out a fresh face in UFC star Ronda Rousey to join the cast of “Fast & Furious 7,” Universal has moved onto veteran actor to join its acting ranks with Kurt Russell in negotiations to join the next installment.
No description on who Russell would be playing, but sources say it is the role that Uni originally offered to Denzel Washington — clearly showing its importance to the films story.
“Fast & Furious 7″ brings back most of its talent from the franchise, including Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, producer Neal H. Moritz and writer Chris Morgan with James Wan coming on as director.
Moritz and Diesel return as producers.
No plot details have been unveiled yet, except that the film will return to Los Angeles after the previous five films were set in other locations. Co-President of Production Jeff Kirschenbaum and Creative Executive Jay Polidoro will oversee the project on behalf of Universal.
This May’s “Fast & Furious 6″ is the highest grossing film for Universal, having made more than $750 million at the worldwide box office.
The CAA-repped Russell has taken it easy on how what roles he has taken in recent years with his last major film being Quentin Tarantino’s “Death Proof.”

It would be awesome if it happened but weird given that it's an ensemble flick and he rejected The Expendables for that very reason.
