I'm curious where you find your prospective titles that you want to watch? I'm willing to bet you have one of the deepest or most sophisticated taste amongst the group in here. We don't spend much time on a lot of the foreign and indie titles you seem to like. I hope no one perceives this as throwing stones because I'm not. Someone's taste is someone's taste. I just haven't heard of most of what you watch and certainly many of the mainstream titles don't suit you. I don't spend a lot of time on other forums but I know BR and HTF get deeper than we do in many areas.

Kung Fu Panda 3 (2016)
I'd give it a B. Worthy addition to the trilogy. Funny and cute. Jack Black was enjoyable once again playing Po.

Tough to watch from both the tragic ending to the towers perspective as well as the heights. If they were still around they could have used some real shots instead of entirely CGI. Too bad with these you never know how much was embellished for the sake of the movie.

On the Road - 1.5/5
After the death of his father in 1949, young writer from New York befriends a free spirited drifter. Looking to expand his horizons and literary skills, he decides to be more like his friend and explore other places in America. Based on the 1957 novel by Jack Kerouac, this is a good looking film that that is too impressed with itself. It becomes a long tedious slog that ultimately goes nowhere.

The Last House on the Left (1972) - 2/5
Two teenage girls travel from the suburbs into New York City to watch a concert. While there they are kidnapped by a group of violent escaped convicts who subject them to torture and humiliation. Could have been a good film but it can't decide if it wants to be horror or a trashy black comedy ala John Waters. If the creators of Friday the 13th & A Nightmare on Elm Street weren't behind this film I doubt it would be as highly regarded as it is.

Did Liev's wig take you out of the movie?
Machine Gun Preacher
It was miscast and Michael Shannon who played the friend should have played the lead.
Finally saw the rest of this movie after renting it in 2012 but never finished and only now a movie that came out in 2011 finally premiered on Showtime in 2016.

Deadpool- it was fantastic seeing Colossus in action, and Morena Baccarin was also wonderful in this film.
Gah...the amount of kids in my 10:25 am showing had me wanting to call child services on anyone foolish enough to bring kids to this film. I know I sound a bit get off my lawn! saying this...but seriously, bringing a kid to this flick???

A young man works long hours at an auto plant in order to support his family in rural Mexico. When his sister's boyfriend steals a stash of drugs and has her hide them in her house, the whole family becomes the target of a vicious drug cartel. An unflinching realistic disturbing look at the war on drugs and its effects on the common people. Feels like it could be a companion piece to Sicario but this is done in a less stylistic and more minimalist Michael Haneke/Bruno Dumont style. Amat Escalante shows us again why he is one of the best Mexican directors and he even won best director at Canne.

A man studying to be a filmmaker in Paris begins a relationship with an artist. At first everything is great but slowly it starts to descend into self-destruction. Once you remove the hype of the explicit sex and 3D, this is actually a good film that could have been better if it were trimmed by about a good 20-30 minutes. I found the film to be much deeper than the posters and trailers made it out to be. Gaspar Noe is such a good director but he gets carried away by trying to be so controversial instead of letting the material speak for itself. Who else could have used the theme of Assault on Precinct 13 for a segment in a swingers club and make it work.
