Re: Decide what movie I watch tomorrow lol
In my defense a big factor was that the theater showing Looper is more than double the distance away and would have added over half an hour travel time. Woke up from a nap at 9:10p, said screw it, and decided to just go to the closer theater

Why did you ask then? I've been struggling with that question all day. It really soured my mood for the rest of the month.

I was honestly going to go to Looper but I woke up, it was raining, it was late, I was going to get back after midnight as it was, and it was a spur-of-the-moment decision to go to the closer one. The other one is within half an hour away and this one is 10-12 minutes away.

Yes, extra 34 minutes out in the rain at 10p-12a Started raining while I was sleeping, we actually had record rainfall since 1939, and like the second most rainfall ever. Still raining two days later :/

I hate driving in the rain. Not because I can't (I'm from Florida) but because Vegas people can't. People here freak out when it rains We've had quite a bit of rain this year. We usually have three days of rain a year. This year we've had I'd say ten different occurrences of rain, all more than one day.

Yeah, I really got that impression when I saw the trailer. I know that Looper is the better movie and I have a 46" LCD at home with a PS3 which gives a decent viewing experience, so it wasn't really which was the better movie since I plan to view both, but which would benefit the most from the big screen.
And then I woke up to rain
Something that I didn't mention is that depending on the actor and the character sometimes I have trouble understanding them. I need subtitles for Rocky If something has a lot of dialogue I prefer to watch it with subtitles. Don't know if it's having English as a second language or an ear operation or a combination of both (or the actor's fault!). I never watch a movie at home without subtitles. I actually avoided the theater before because of cost, people talking, etc., but also to a tiny extent because of the lack of subtitles, but now that I have MoviePass for $30 a month for up to 30 movies I'm making up for lost time
And then I woke up to rain

Huh, never really thought about it. I may miss something now and then but I can understand what they say 99% of the time (except Rocky... although I understood Stallone in The Expendables 1 and 2 ). It's like a security blanket, subtitles just make me feel better
