I usually stay away, but I find Rave has been a reason to go back. Should have taken advantage of their $5 Wednesdays more often. Still prefer Tysons AMC. Maybe I'll trek out when the Alamo opens near Dulles/Leesburg.

For those that have Cinemark, do they have a discount day? When Rave took over, we really took advantage of $5 Tuesdays.

The one in Louisville has a discount Tuesday, where most things (exception of XD, etc.) are $5.50.

Yes. However, not all theaters participate.

http://cinemark.com/discounts-discount-tuesday

Here in Vegas, not a single Cinemark theater participate in the program. Despite that:
  • The single Rave Cinema participates in $5 Tuesday, $5 Casino Employees Wednesday, and $5 College Students Thursday.
  • The single Brenden Theatres participates in $5 Monday.
  • The single Galaxy Theatres participates in $6 Tuesday.
  • Three out of eight Regal Cinemas participate in $6 Tuesday.

I don't get why they don't do it. When we saw Fun Size at Cinemark, we went on a Tuesday night. Not only were we the only two in the auditorium, but we were pretty much the only two customers in the entire theater. Whereas if we went to Rave (if they had it and/or MoviePass was accepted there), the place would've been a madhouse.

Also...depending if you're a college student and where that is..they may do College Thursdays. Which is what they do for us here. $3.50. Fuck, yes. Hell...they even charge the 3D films sometimes at $3.50. Love my Cinemark.

Only Cinemark that provides student discounts here in Vegas is the Century Orleans 18... and it's not a discount day, just an extra dollar or two off. It's also bullshit as all of the Regal theaters, not just one, provides student discounting at all of its locations.

The second 'Extreme' screen is less problematic, but still - The Bourne Legacy looked decent, but again, I've seen much better dark contrasts on Barco systems.
I agree completely about the Xtreme theaters. I'm a fan of Rave, but I doubt I'll gripe very much if Cinemark upgrades all the auditoriums with 4K Barco projectors.
