Those just look like really cool fan teasers. Disney doesn't look to be marketing the Roman numerals with this film, so I'm leery on that aspect.

would it still be a "Lucasfilm" production?

I was thinking the same thing about the Roman numerals. Plus I've never heard of the site before tonight. The images are cool though.

Yes, Disney bought Lucasfilm so I I'm sure they'll keep the name. Just like they did when they bought Marvel.

If the recent release of Clone Wars: The Lost Missions on DVD and Blu is any indication (and it obviously is) it seems like Disney is treating LucasFilm like Marvel.

Aside from a small Disney Movie Rewards logo and a few telltale Disney design elements, there's nothing that screams DISNEY about the release.

I've seen a lot of people say that it will be odd seeing the Disney logo replacing the 20th Century Fox fanfare on future Star Wars films but I'm guessing the LucasFilm logo will be the actual beginning. I have to figure they'll come up with something flashier if they're gonna try to pass LucasFilm off as a standalone studio.

That said: aside from getting that detail right I still think those posters are fan art.

Yeah, on another note, I really hope we don't see that Bad Robot animation at the beginning of the movie.

Maybe they'll do the "Bad Robot" animation with R2-D2 or that soccer ball droid.

Just as long as there is no cast at the beginning. Really the whole opening/title sequence is something Lucas got right and would like to see kept around.

I think it's a safe bet the opening will match the other six films.

As for the studio logos, who knows? Lucasfilm will almost certainly be there. I'm guessing Disney may create a new Disney logo for their Star Wars films that's a little more sci-fi themed - maybe with John Williams music instead of their traditional Disney music?

We don't see a Disney logo in front of Marvel films, so I don't think we will here.

They didn't do a comic-book style Disney logo for the Marvel movies. They just start with the Marvel logo. And again, the recent Clone Wars: The Lost Missions release seems to suggest they're comfortable releasing releases with no obvious Disney branding.

The studio stuff is sort of a legal thing, so the Fox/Disney/Bad Robot/Lucasfilm logos are kind of up for grabs.

I have little doubt that the film will open with Episode VII, a title crawl, opening shot in space; have a John Williams (or JW-like) score, wipes, and close with a dialogue-free musical scene.

Any spin-offs that not part of the numbered "saga," though, can be anything. No crawl, different music, no "space" opening shot, no musical montage at the end. I really hope they mix things up a bit with the spin-offs.

Wouldn't the particular studio card at the beginning of films be determined by complicated legal issues?

I think they may keep the crawls and opening music for spinoffs, since many of the video games have had them.

Also hoping for no Bad Robot logo... I think they'll do some kind of minute long Disney/Lucasfilm, or just a 30 second Lucasfilm logo - I mentioned it earlier but it'd be cool if they had John Williams do that little cue for them while he's at it... just a little hint of the 20th CF, but something new... it'd put his stamp on all forthcoming films.

The only reason that 20th Century Fox and Lucasfilm were on the original movies was because they made the films. Why shouldn't the companies making these films have their logos at the beginning?

Watching movies as a kid, I was also excited to see the Disney castle logo at the beginning, I actually think it would be kind of nice to have a very classy version done for these new movies.

Well, they already have the overly done one with fireworks and explosions. The flat 2D castle one was better by far.

Most of the new SW toys/items that have been coming out have a big Disney on the packaging. Haven't seen Marvel stuff with it.

Did I miss a memo on why we hate the Bad Robot logo? Or has the internet just run out of shit to complain about?

It's not the internet. It's me. I don't like it, simple as that.
