Blomkamp would to be the freshest one out of all those listed there. Granted..we haven't seen Elysium yet but D9 sure felt fresh for all it was.

There are 20,915 threads in Movie Talk. I would guess that more than half are not Star Wars related. Take your pick!

New stories. New characters. Go out and find an unconventional choice, like they did with Batman.
That could be epic.

They had Celebrations VI in Orlando a few months ago (and CV in 2009, also in Orlando). Celebrations... VII in 2015 would be huge.

I dont want to see an 80 year old Han Solo or a old fat pig Leia. :-( Throw Mark Hamill a bone though... that guy needs money to finally fix his fucked up face.

Wonder how they'll work the release dates... I doubt Avengers 2 moves from it's May slot. That leaves SW July, or maybe Nov/Dec? I could see holiday releases fitting in well with the series.
I still can't believe this is happening....and as fast as it is!

Who wants to bet George Lucas secretly has Stage 4 cancer? Poor guy wants to spend his remaining days without stress.

If Episode 7 does come out in 2015, it will be 16 yrs between TPM and Episode 7. That's not that far from the 22yrs between ANH and TPM. Has it really been that long? Gosh, I feel old.

I really, really wish this had been announced on April 1.

I'll give each a shot in the theater. I have a feeling that we will get a kick ass trailer for part VII, just like we got for part I. Then the film for part VII will end up being just as worthless as the film for part I.
Oh well, Disney can't make a trilogy any worse than the prequels, can they?

That being the exception. I'm hoping that since Lucas doesn't have creative control anymore a talented director/screenwriter combo can deliver a mature (no, that doesn't mean R rated) film set in the Star Wars universe. I'm hoping Disney will give a crew the creative freedom to do that.

I'm pretty excited about this actually. You don't see too many sequels being made these days. It'll be a nice change of pace to not to have cinema clogged with the same old same old of original ideas and new concepts. But rather a comfortable pair of shoes you keep wearing over and over even though they've completly dissolved and you're actually barefoot.
