I thought I'd never seen a trailer for DREDD, but now I'm remembering that I did. I just don't remember much about it. I did like JUDGE DREDD back in 1995, so I'm thinking maybe I'll like this. Solid Snake's enthusiasm is infectious.

Look, sometimes one has to make sacrifices to please their woman. She won last week by choosing End of Watch and the "chick flicks."

This is my week and we're doing Dredd 3D (and Pusher) tomorrow night.

At least End of Watch was awesome.

...how'd she win? By sucking your cock?

Also...Pusher...the UK remake? Do give us a heads up on that one in the thread for it. I wondered about that one.

This thread has taken a very vulgar turn.

I wouldn't know, I haven't seen it. But only to piss off Snake.

But even if I had seen the movie, I wouldn't be entirely sure what you're asking here.

I hope by "and Pusher" you mean the original Refn film.

Thought Looper would be doing much better - my showing was sold out.

We did End of Watch on Monday night, For a Good Time on Wednesday night and Bachelorette on Thursday night. I usually work 8am to 5pm (or how much overtime I need/want) so I can't see multiple movies in a theater during a single night.

I rented Pusher in 1080p HD from iTunes last night, so we'll sit down and watch that when we get home from Dredd. We're doing Looper and The Master later in the week. Or if Dredd is amazing in 3D, I'll force her to see Dredd multiple times as it'll be out of theaters by Thursday night.

I've actually never seen Refn's original film, but I'd pay to go see Richard Coyle open a Wal-Mart Tesco.

I loved the shit out of Dredd 3D (saw it opening weekend!) but I'm jumping back to this point. If I went to Looper, it would be with my wife. If I saw Hotel Transylvania, it would be me, my wife and two kids. It's surprising to you the margin is that substantial?

Just FYI, user reviews at RT give HT an average rating of 4.1/5 (out of about 19000 reviews), and an 80% positive on the meter. Looper got an average of 4.3/5 from around 41000 review, with a 91% positive on the meter.

So, although critics didn't like HT, most viewers did, and they liked it just about as well as Looper. Plus, it is a family-friendly "spooky fun" film with a PG rating released around Halloween season, versus a niche genre (time travel Sci Fi) with an R rating. Guess which film will earn more money?

On the Cinemascore front - Hotel T got an A- (An 'A' from the ladies and those under 18), Looper got a B (B+ from Males).

Not that I've seen it yet (I'm getting to it), but I figured it was worth noting that Looper has been the #1 movie since Tues. It'll lose that honor today, but pretty cool nonetheless.

Then you better drive, son!

I see there's a 7:30pm in South Gate. I'm sure that's a perfectly fine theater.
