Sexually Explicit Clip Heats Up Kid-Filled 'Frozen' Screening
A family-filled audience looking forward to a screening of "Frozen" last Friday received a huge shock when they were shown a sexually graphic clip instead.
Employees at the Regal Cinemas in Pinellas Park, Florida, had to stall the start of "Frozen" after experiencing what audience members described as technical difficulties. To pass the time, they began playing what they thought was a black-and-white cartoon. Turns out it wasn't a cartoon.
What followed was a two-minute sexually graphic clip that one person who claims to have been in the theater says was the red-band trailer for Lars von Trier's "Nymphomaniac," which depicts a blow job, among other images not exactly suited for PG-rated "Frozen"'s core audience. Audience members were understandably upset by the mix-up.
"It seemed like forever when you're trying to, you know, cover a little guy's eyes," one witness, who was at the screening with her grandchildren, told the local Fox affiliate. "I didn't have enough hands to cover his ears too and he got the sound down real good."
Regal is reportedly still trying to figure out how the mix-up happened; they've offered free movie tickets to patrons by way of apology. Maybe older audiences hoping for a similar mix-up are what made "Frozen"'s opening weekend returns so high?

They just randomly had a 2 minute sex clip from the movie? Awesome. Reminds me of a mix of Dirty Work and Fight Club.
On a side note, this will be released in the US as two movies.
Nymphomaniac Part I will be released on VOD on March 6th, then in Theaters on March 21th.
Nymphomaniac Part II will be released on VOD on April 3rd, then in Theaters on April 18th.

The sad thing about that is Fight Club was at the tail end of the days when theaters still projected film. A true film for the end of 90s in so many ways.
As regards this, I was going to say "This is why you need a projectionist," but it sounds like they had one and he or she just messed up. You'd think he'd have thought to stop it after the first few seconds. Somehow I doubt the free tickets will be much consolation to the parents who'll now have to have uncomfortable discussions with the kids.
Remember when people used to hit up screening specifically to see trailers back when it took an hour to download them? Now they're on the web to promote the movie and get millions of hits a day. Goddamn, how the world has changed.

I finished watching volume 1 and it was pretty cool. I did not like the fact that Shia Lebouf and Christian Slater had British accents. The accents were awful, but other than that, the film was cool.

Not sure if I should wait for the BD or just go ahead and watch it now.
I know I'd like it but not sure if I'm in the mood to watch it On Demand.

I'll probably buy or import the full versions when they hit BD anyway.

This version was definitely R-rated. There was no actual onscreen penetration like in Antichrist. One blow job scene but hardly anything shown as opposed to implied. And then she spits the cum out.

I've been searching the net trying to find out if this VOD version is different from the theatrical version of Volume 1.
Does anyone know for sure?

From what I understand, the VOD and the theatrical releases should be identical. But in any case, there isn't actually too much explicit content in the film. Nudity, yes, but graphic content is very minimal in the two-part version of the film.
Strangely enough (and I might just be crazy), I think this is a very accessible film (if you disregard the taboo subject matter and the runtime). The performances were all very compelling (especially Stacy Martin), though Shia LaBeouf was just tolerable. And there was much more humor and tenderness in the film than I had anticipated.

Watched Volume 1 the other night, and I thought it was really good. Couldn't wait to start the second one.
The second one certainly has more of those difficult scenes to watch, but also good.
I came into this not expecting too much, and I really ended up liking it.
I agree on Stacy Martin as young Joe, she was great.

So how many versions of this are out there exactly? There's:
Part 1: 118 minutes
Part 1 uncut: 145 minutes
Part 2: 124 minutes
Complete version: roughly 330 minutes
Anything missing?
