He was a villain in The Watcher but he was awful in that.

Obviously the director calling the shots makes all the difference. It always does.

I guess all the hate for her comes from Twilight. I just find that silly though. Either people are hating her because they hate Twilight... or they hate her because she really wasn't good in Twilight (which would mean that you're admitting to watching Twilight).
I hate the way she acts on interviews and in public like she is a queen we are stupid for paying to see her movies.

Seth Rogen in Zack and Miri Make a Porno. I cannot stand Rogen usually, but Kevin Smith was able to make him earn his paycheck for once.

I'd really like to see Julia Roberts impress me. Just once at least.

I like Julia Roberts in Closer...only cuz Clive Owen was yelling at her and it was awesome.

I can't say I hate any actor but from those that I just don't think are or were good at that point:

Channing Tatum in 21 Jump Street
Marlon Wayans in Requiem for a Dream

Russell Crowe in pretty much anything. I really detest him as a person, but there is no doubt he is very talented and I end up enjoying the movies he is in.

Rogen was infinitely better in Funny People. Zack & Miri was Smith's attempt at making an Apatow comedy, and he blew it.

Re: Actors You Hate Giving Good Performances

Jennifer Lopez in Out of Sight comes to mind. This is actually more of a reason why I dislike her as she seemed like someone with decent acting ability and after this just chose the easy Diva route with safer roles.

She was fantastic in that role. Great performance. Total shit since then. Although she was fairly decent in the rather shitty 'The Cell'.

I was just trolling a little to see what kind of madness would ensue. Sadly not as much as I had hoped.

I like Hardy a lot and thought he was really good in DKR.

Have you seen Contagion? That was the role she was born to play.

I agree. By making Zack and Miri funny and quotable with a witty script, he failed miserably at making an Apatow comedy. If he had just had his actors improvise for two hours, he would have finally made to the big leagues. Kevin Smith is the Icarus of raunch comedy.

Glad this performance was mentioned a few times in this thread. Couldn't agree more. Stallone should have been nominated for this performance. At the very least. Also agree with Reeves in "The Gift". I'd like to add Jennifer Aniston in "Horrible Bosses".
