I don't think that the bad CG had anything to do with Bloom's age, just with the fact that Jackson's films overload with CG and plenty of it is sometimes subpar.

This new title makes about as much sense as renamig Return of the King to Lord of the Rings:Battle of the Pelennor Fields.

They should make a trilogy out of The Children of Húrin. Yeah, I know that will never happen. Especially given the downer ending.

Looks good, of course I said that about the other two trailers. Love they used Edge of Night (Pippin's song). Makes me cautiously optimistic this one will have a more serious tone, and be less like a theme park ride.

I was just thinking this looks an awful lot like a theme park ride.

Meh...I get that they're trying to remind people of ROTK, but it just didn't have much energy to it. Trying to figure out what that sledding scene could be..lol, looked pretty silly.

Yeah, these are too long. They're bloated, bombastic, self-indulgent, and flawed. But they remind me why I love movies so much, and I'll miss Middle Earth.

Pretty much this. Realizing that this will be my final visit to Middle-earth on film makes it very bittersweet. And Pippin's song didn't help matters, either.

I've enjoyed the previous two flicks and I'm sure I'll enjoy this one as well.
I still wish Peter Jackson could get the rights to The Silmarillion and The Children of Húrin, though I know it'd never happen.

I'm just not excited for these anymore. This really did not need to be 3 films.
