I've never seen RE, but aren't they pretty much their own thing and have nothing to do with the games? I wouldn't call that a "good" adaptation.

Castlevania, especially the latest one. Loved the story. But it's been in devolpment hell for years, and every director associated with it has been shit.

The first RE had elements of the games, the rest not so much.

The First two were decent action/horror movies, they are not their own things and have many connections to the games, Wiki has the connections:

The Dig should be made into a movie, that would be amazing to see on the big screen.

I also agree with the suggestion of The 7th Guest, could be pretty good though I can see why it might not work.

I loved the Dig. I'd be down for that.

Metroid. And as odd as it may sound, Mario Kart.

My only requirement...these should be full length, R-Rated, animated features. I think these would suck in Live action.

Anyone remember Jane Jensen's Gabriel Knight series (the best of which was "The Beast Within")? I'd love to see that character in a movie.

All of the Valve properties could make for some great movies.

Well, maybe except Team Fortress 2. That'll make for a great television series.

Re: What video games would you like to see adapted for a feature film?

I remember Speilberg wanting to make a movie of The Dig, but the technology at the time wasn't up to snuff.

I wouldn't mind seeing a Planescape: Torment movie. Or Ultima VII: The Black Gate.

Or Star Control II, though that one could turn out really bad, if the aliens weren't done well. Some of the aliens are also meant to be goofy, which might not play out well on the big screen.

Whichever one lends itself to becoming the first good video game movie. So, Dig Dug with Fassbender as the guy that pumps up the monsters. Or Burger Time with Daniel Day Lewis playing the chef.

Re: What video games would you like to see adapted for a feature film?

Dino Crisis Directed by Steven Speilberg!

Actually I would love to see a movie based on Parasite Eve. They made a japanese movie but that was based off the book. It could be a truly scary and fucked up movie if done right.

Dragon's Lair, but who could play Dirk the Daring? Jim Carrey may be too old.

There was a long standing rumor that Madonna's company had picked up remake/adaptation rights to the Parasite Eve series (we're talking over 12 years ago), nothing came of it. I agree though, there's something about opera, parasitic mitochondria and spontaneous combustion that could have made for a cool movie. The Japanese movie was mediocre at best, absolute shit at worst.

That was the only game I played all the way through in Japanese, don't know why I did that but I did.

Psychonauts. But please, don't make it live action. Get Brad Bird to do it with Pixar, with Tim Schafer co-writing the script.

Oh, and Leisure Suit Larry, starring Paul Giamatti.

Give me a full length animated feature using the cinematics from Diablo III.
