I've never seen RE, but aren't they pretty much their own thing and have nothing to do with the games? I wouldn't call that a "good" adaptation.

Castlevania, especially the latest one. Loved the story. But it's been in devolpment hell for years, and every director associated with it has been shit.

The first RE had elements of the games, the rest not so much.

The Dig should be made into a movie, that would be amazing to see on the big screen.
I also agree with the suggestion of The 7th Guest, could be pretty good though I can see why it might not work.

My only requirement...these should be full length, R-Rated, animated features. I think these would suck in Live action.

Anyone remember Jane Jensen's Gabriel Knight series (the best of which was "The Beast Within")? I'd love to see that character in a movie.

I remember Speilberg wanting to make a movie of The Dig, but the technology at the time wasn't up to snuff.
I wouldn't mind seeing a Planescape: Torment movie. Or Ultima VII: The Black Gate.
Or Star Control II, though that one could turn out really bad, if the aliens weren't done well. Some of the aliens are also meant to be goofy, which might not play out well on the big screen.

Whichever one lends itself to becoming the first good video game movie. So, Dig Dug with Fassbender as the guy that pumps up the monsters. Or Burger Time with Daniel Day Lewis playing the chef.

Dino Crisis Directed by Steven Speilberg!
Actually I would love to see a movie based on Parasite Eve. They made a japanese movie but that was based off the book. It could be a truly scary and fucked up movie if done right.

That was the only game I played all the way through in Japanese, don't know why I did that but I did.

Psychonauts. But please, don't make it live action. Get Brad Bird to do it with Pixar, with Tim Schafer co-writing the script.
Oh, and Leisure Suit Larry, starring Paul Giamatti.
