One of the biggest question marks regarding the upcoming "Avengers: Age of Ultron" is Paul Bettany's The Vision character. The film marks the first time Bettany's been seen on screen in the Marvel universe, following his voice over only roles as Tony Stark's computer J.A.R.V.I.S. in previous films.
Out doing promotional rounds for "Mortdecai," Bettany tells News.com.au that Marvel has a plan for his character and that he loves the security of a regular gig like this:
"That's the really great thing about the Marvel gig for me. I have never known if I have had a job six months out ever in my life. And now I know that they have plans and I can be even more judicious about the stuff that I do outside of that work. I can wait for the right thing and feel really attached to it."
Bettany also confirmed that he hasn't seen any of the previous Marvel Studios films, including those he was in, before he took on his role in "Avengers: Age of Ultron".
"I did a lot of research - and my research was watching all of the films. I realized they are so interlinked and I wanted to understand the universe I was in. So I did and it was a really amazing, fun experience - especially going from my tiny, twenty-day movie with no money and no trailers to this behemoth film was just great.
Everybody made me feel really at home and I have no bad stories - they are really funny people and really creative. I have never seen sets that big in my whole career. I have never seen set pieces like it - we were in a set that felt like a town."
No word on which other films The Vision might appear in, though the "Avengers: Infinity War" two-film saga seems the obvious first choice.

Saw the theatrical trailer attached to The Loft tonight, and wasn't expecting it. Surprising in this day and age. the usage of a song from Pinocchio.

I'm tired of superhero movies but Captain America: The Winter Soldier really caught my attention, and now this new trailer looks really good. Marvel Studios has really done well with translating the fun nature of the superhero group dynamic and adapting it for a mainstream audience.

So does the fact that it's still not rated mean they are still editing the movie (and thus have yet o submit it to the MPAA) or are they currently appealing the rating (like they did with the last Avengers movie)?

Would love to have this.
LEGO Is About to Unleash the S.H.I.E.L.D. HELICARRIER
Finally, your epic LEGO recreation of the Avengers film can be accurately depicted. Yes, LEGO has heard our cries and is unleashing a ginormous, 2,996-piece, S.H.I.E.L.D. Helicarrier set. That’s right — nearly 3,000 pieces, folks. Bigger is better, after all. Plus, as we all know, the ultimate fate of all Helicarriers is a dramatic and bombastic crash sequence, and what better way to capture that than with a LEGO set?
Revealed exclusively to The Wall Street Journal – the go-to source for the latest LEGO news – this monster set comes with everything you need to recreate your favorite movie and comic moments. Along with the Helicarrier, the set includes several other microscale vehicles and 5 minifigures, one of which is the amazing Maria Hill. Since the set is technically microscaled – although, at 31 inches long, calling this thing micro seems ridiculous – it also comes with 12 microscaled figures to man and operate your new flying behemoth.
Logistically, finding a place in your home to display this bad boy might be an issue, but hey, if friends and family cant appreciate a gorgeous centerpiece like this, maybe it’s time to get a new social circle. Just imagine having a dinner party where guests casually pick appetizers off a S.H.I.E.L.D. Helicarrier runway. Why, you’d be the talk of the town. Or the Hail of the Hydra, even.
The LEGO Helicarrier set is due in March and has a price tag of $349.99. Start saving those pennies, kiddies.

The mileage that Lego are getting out of these tie-in sex is amazing. There's a Lego everything now.
Holy crap, that price ! I guess this is aimed at adult collectors !
They had to appeal the last movie? Why? It was pretty innocuous. Pretty much nothing human got hurt, it was just a bunch of smashing and crashing. Episodes of superhero cartoons do the same amount of property damage all the time.

They originally got an R-rating due to Coulson's impalement. They had to re-edit the scene several times before the MPAA agreed to award the film a PG-13.

Just imagine if they went with the original design:
https://ideas.lego.com/projects/63951
It would have been almost 85.5 inches long and consisted of over 20,000 pieces. That's like the size of the USS Flagg. I would have definitely paid for that even if it was over $1,000.

Sorry. Damn. Sorry.
The MPAA's endless obsession with 6 seconds of scenes remains a great mystery to me. If the guy is getting stabbed, the guy is getting stabbed. What does removing four frames of it not perceptible to the human eye accomplish?
I love hanging out with fellow adults .
Yeah, you and 7 other people . I think Hasbro and Takara flirted some supreme-sized military Transformers toys of aircraft carriers and such before realizing the commercial impracticality.

If Hot Toys had actually made the 1/6th scale Bat, I would've purchased it with no reservations, even if it was $5K. Something like that would definitely be a grail piece as well as anchor your entire collection. Alas it was not meant to be and they went with 1/12th scale to make it the same size as the Tumbler (I preordered it, maybe one of the only ones).
Maybe I'll get lucky and someone will find a way to combine two or three sets into one gigantic Helicarrier. I would clear out my Hot Toys Hall of Armor dio to have some space on my shelf to display that bad boy.
