Re: The Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015, Whedon)
Joss Whedon took a brief time out from production of "Avengers: Age of Ultron" to check out the premiere of "Guardians of the Galaxy" in London the other night. Briefly chatting with Hey U Guys, the filmmaker revealed that 'Ultron' is set to sport four primary female characters:
"There are four prominent female roles in the center of the movie, and, I think, a more balanced presence throughout the movie. The guys are all there. There are more of them too. Hopefully it will satisfy everybody. I'm not trying to fulfil an agenda, but I am interested in men and women. I'm interested in grown-ups who act like children and dress like clowns and punch each other."
The comment immediately raises the question - who is the fourth? Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson), Maria Hill (Cobie Smulders) and Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen) are the obvious first three. Beyond that though?
The site quickly followed up asking if Carol Danvers, aka Captain Marvel, could be seen. Whedon reportedly made a ridiculous face for the camera and said: "I don't have the facial reaction you're looking for. I like her too. That's all I can say."

Talking about 3 Women. Just got it on BD. what a movie. Never seen it till I bought it. That ending... I'm not sure what I think it means but it was a good ending to it.

Love 3 Women. Looking forward to seeing it again. Pretty amazing something like that is on Blu when so many more recognizable classics are still MIA.
I think the 4th woman may end up being a villainess and not a hero. Unless he specifically said hero.
Or possibly a love interest for Banner to give him a little more dimension.

Yeah. We really need Carol Danvers in the MCU. she's a great powerhouse and presence. I do wonder if they'd take inspiration from her lost recent look? I kind of dig it but I'd also like a a variation of her old classic look from her startup.

eh, it may just be Pepper after all. No time needed on exposition for her and she already has a place and function in supporting one of the main characters.

Could the fourth female be the Wasp?

I highly, highly doubt it. I'm sure they want to introduce her first in an Ant-Man movie.

Because both Ultron and Vision are outgrowths of Stark's, we'll obviously be getting more screentime with his specific network of characters. So I'm thinking the fourth is just referring to a few scenes with Pepper.
She may even be a fatality here.
