Uhg. No thank you. That's way too much sitting for one day.

yeah, that's a lot of Marvel. you'd be dead tired by the time the main event came on.
i could probably endure an Avengers --> CA: TWS --> GotG --> A: AoU though. In fact, i might just do that...watch the 3 at home and then hit the theater after for AoU. Gotta work out some timelines.

It would be a long day but if there was an AMC or Regal close to me I'd consider doing it if I could find someone to go with. I'll probably end up marathoning them in the days leading up to the new film as I have some days off that week. May at least travel to see Age of Ultron though to see it with some friends.

I don't mind sitting down but I'm not a lazy fuck enough to sit through that. I'd probably pass out once we hit The Avengers.

I think I could make it 24 hours straight without sleep. The part that would suck is that there isn't much time for intermissions and stuff. Plus not eating properly and stuff.

I don't think sitting through a movie marathon like that really makes someone lazy though, does it? I imagine it takes a certain level of physical endurance to sit and watch movies for 27 straight hours. I don't think I could even stay awake for 27 straight hours without basically sacrificing the next 3 days in order to recover.

There is no way I could do this. If I even attempted to watch 11 movies in a row, I would be so bored and tired after probably 3 movies I'd just get up and leave. If I watched that many somehow, I would probably hate AoU no matter how good it is just because I would be so cranky/tired/uncomfortable by that time.
Add to the fact I've seen several of them multiple times & I'm at the point of being bored during some scenes. Friend brought over GotG recently, making it the 3rd time I've seen it. I'm just bored to death during some scenes.

Regal is also doing an Avengers 1 & 2 3D double for $20. That sounds a lot more reasonable.

I actually hit a milestone in December when I kept nodding off in the theater during the last Hobbit movie. First time I ever fell asleep in a movie tneater.

most i've done in a theater is 3 -- Stone Cold (Brian Bosworth), Robin Hood (Costner), Terminator 2.
only ever fell asleep (more like nodded off for a few minutes) was in The Crow (Lee) and The Dark Knight. both times were on a second viewing; not from boredom, just tired as hell.

I rarely stay up a full day but for something like this marathon I think I'd make it. I'd be hyped enough and probably full of enough caffeine and energy that I don't think I'd have a problem. Probably would need a day or so to recover though. I've only done one marathon (The Dark Knight Trilogy) but I travelled to that as my local theater doesn't do marathons for the most part..

I could maybe make it through the Phase II movies (I'd probably use Thor 2 for a nap break, if it wasn't the second movie).

I purchased tickets to the IMAX 3D showing at 7PM today.
However, Fandango had tickets listed at $10.50 for that specific showing and the IMAX showing of Furious 7 at 8pm on Thursday, April 2nd... whereas every other IMAX showing is at $17.
Weird.

I disagree about the 3D in GotG. It wasn't anything to write home about. The depth was meh. Cap 2 had good 3D but nothing standout. The 3D in Avengers is still the best of the lot.

Marvel's 3D conversions just suck, which is weird considering Stereo D's output is usually so good. Thor, Thor: The Dark World, and Iron Man 3 are the worst offenders of the bunch.
