They really need to run Spader's voice through a filter so I'm not picturing Spader when Ultron talks.

If they change his voice to be unrecognizable as the actor playing the voice part, what's the point?

It's not like it's a surprise he's in the film at this point. No sense in being coy about it.
It's been said that the first leak was actually the international trailer (Coming in "April" instead of "May") But it is a good idea to still use that TV Spot for something new.
It might be too late to whip up a shot of Vision, but they could at least air the full trailer that appeared at SDCC.

If it still sounds like Spader, aren't you going to still picture Spader?

Give Bane's mask to Ultron!

"I am the Avengers reckoning!"

They really need to run Spader's voice through a filter so I'm not picturing Spader when Ultron talks.
It's not noticeable, though. Some of my friends were all like, wow, Ultron looks awesome, who's doing the voice ?

I thought Hugo Weaving's casting in the Transformers movies was pointless as his voice was so altered, this feels about right to me.

They only altered his voice in the first movie. From the sequels onward, none of the VA's were altered in post.

That said, Frank Welker in AOE proves how pointless the casting of Weaving was in the first place.

No idea who Vision is...why is he going to be a big deal? Friend or foe? As I would assume most who will be going to the movie won't know who it is either.

Then your friends have never heard Spader before. There's no way you wouldn't be able to recognize his voice if you've seen him in anything.

Re: The Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015, Whedon)

Here's an analogous example... In one example I have Tyrion Lannister in space telling me what to do. In the other I have a fleshed out character that fits in the world talking to me.

Just something subtle like that to mask the fact that Red from the Blacklist is the bad guy.

I wanted to see him "in action", as it were. Also was hoping for a little voice sample.

He still sounds like Peter Dinklage to me. I never once didn't picture him after hearing his voice when playing through that game.

Do you like possible spoilers? More for the comics but.... Just in case you want to go blind... I'll be nice.

Spoiler:
Jarvis isn't going to be just A.I in Stark's pantheon of tech anymore. He's getting a body.

Vision's origins in the comics...

The robot Ultron is the creator of the Vision, a type of android he calls a "synthezoid", for use against Ultron's own creator, Dr. Hank Pym (Ant-Man/Giant Man/Goliath/Yellowjacket) and Pym's wife, Janet van Dyne (the Wasp) of the superhero team the Avengers. Ultron sends his new servant to lead the Avengers into a trap. The Wasp is the first to encounter the synthezoid, and describes it as a "vision" while trying to escape. Adopting the name, the Vision is convinced by the Avengers to turn against Ultron.[4] After learning how Ultron created him, using the brain patterns of then-deceased Simon Williams (Wonder Man), the Vision becomes a member of the team.

So Jarvis, played by Paul Bettany, will evolve into The Vision.

And he will be a hero. Whether he is bad/corrupted and then good or just good the whole time.... I dunno.

How this is done is not really known. They could go a bit w/ how Ultron did the Vision in the comics in some form. Or there's also a rumor that Jarvis attempts to take down Ultron but can't so he goes "mobile" as a DVDtalk dude here said.

Again... it's all up in the air. Either way. He's a big deal for an Ultron related movie.

He doesn't have to be some major bad guy. If they just kept him as human but still some baddie... that'd be fine. He wasn't just a supervillain the whole time. Hell, Zola made it into the movies. I never thought I'd see him in the movies. I really dug what they did w/ him.

They added something to his voice. Why add more? They add anymore and it's not Spader. You paying for him to do the voice.... you better show off the voice. Transformers was mentioned... in how Weaving is Megatron but you can BARELY even notice it's him. So he was pointless casting.

Hugo Weaving is a terrible example though. How many people could pick him out of a lineup?

I actually liked it better when it was Dinklage's unaltered voice. There was something cool about a robot that sounded like a human. Computer sounding voices are so cliché.

Feige teases the Avengers roster after Age of Ultron will be different, which kinds of feeds into the rumors that Avengers '3' will not have the Big guns.

Re: The Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015, Whedon)

Ideally, I would think that Phase III would consist of Captain America 3, Thor 3, Guardians of the Galaxy 2, and Dr. Strange leading into Avengers 3: The Infinity Gauntlet.

I think the audience would at least want a trilogy of 'phases' with the classic line-up of Cap, Thor, Hulk, and IM, with each climaxing in an Avengers movie.
