All this does is support my theory that Jim Carrey takes himself way too seriously and he doesn't read scripts all the way through when chosing them.

Who cares? It isn't like he actually bashed the film.

Apparently it is to him. I can't fault him for his beliefs and I did have a major issue with the first film and it's violent imagery involving children. WHo knows how they upped the ante this time around.

You mean that violence was caused by a child like Hit Girl or only when she got punched a few times towards the end? I can respect the former view but I always found the latter hypocritical since it's usually from folk that didn't so much as bat an eyelash when she was callously and brutally murdering people yet suddenly got all "won't someone please think of the children?" the moment she was on the receiving end of an assault (and not even receiving anything remotely close to the brutal damage she caused throughout the movie).

Sooo... Jim is going to give back his pay for the film or donate it towards gun control bills and gun violence survivors, right? I mean, he clearly can't support or take money from a film that he feels is the problem.

He might. What's your problem? It's not like celebrities haven't done exactly that before.

This is just to give the movie some more publicity. Thanks Jim!

Yep. Whether intentional or not. this is going to give the movie more publicity than Jim doing the rounds anyway so no harm, no foul.

I still think she needed more of an ass kicking by Strong. It was a good short one but too weak. I liked how in the comic she got her ass kicked good and she ended the fight. Weak end to the fight with Kick-Ass ending it.

Well it made sense for Kick-Ass to end the fight. That was his moment stepping up. Same for the jetpack scene. It was also important so that Kick-Ass would earn Hit-Girl's respect.

As for her ass kicking, given their size differences, it would have stretched credulity (even for that movie) for her to take any more punishment from Mark Strong and still remain functional as a crime fighter.

If Jim was so cock sure about his stance he would appear on Bill O'Reilly's show and take the tough questions.

It's been 6 months so I have since then deleted the e-mail.
All I can remember is something to do with having said something 'bout liberals.
Which I can understand since it would be like someone posting bible verses about what God says about homosexuality at a Gay forum. The majority are going to complain.
