Re: What movie would you remake?
Perhaps not. As I said, I haven't seen Battle Royale. I see the resemblance in plot/idea between the other three I mentioned (Hunger Games, Running Man, Condemned)

I've actually never seen BTILC. Now that we're talking about a remake though, will have to check out.

Re: What movie would you remake?
My memory is terrible on this so perhaps some of you can help.
Dolph Lundgren did a movie back in the late 80s called 'I Come in Peace,' where the concept was one alien baddie was hiding out here and living large as a drug dealer on this primitive planet, while a cop from his world chasing him teamed with Lundgren, a police officer, both trying to take the bad guy down. I thought it was a really cool idea but poorly executed. A cop buddy flick, one human, one alien, trying to take down an alien pretending to be human, has all kinds of fun potential. Or at the very least something interesting. Last edited by Traxan; 04-26-12 at 08:53 PM. |

Re: What movie would you remake?
Solarbabies should be remade. Post-apocalyptic rollerskating would bring in big bucks at today's box office.

Re: What movie would you remake?
I can't believe I forgot to mention Transformers. I'd love to see those remade as the current Michael Bay versions are god awful. I can only imagine what James Cameron could have done in his place.

Land of the Lost. Just like the tv show, but more serious. Unlike the Will Ferrel version.
Electric Dreams. |

Sidekicks. Now that Chuck Norris is an internet legend. Use the inflated internet goofiness.

Re: What movie would you remake?
I wouldn't mind taking on a new Masters of the Universe. The mythology is already there, it just needs a certain stylized portrayal to make it work.

Zack Snyder to remake Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Stay true the original but update it.

Re: What movie would you remake?
This one would be interesting with the changes in technology. I hope it would be about an actual geek and not just some guy who uses Facebook or an iPad. It would have to be a guy that knows computers well enough that when it talks to him, it's something he can't believe, and not just some voice recognition app.
Get Ryan Gosling as Miles (Moles) and Nicholas Winding Refn to direct, with that 80s vibe he had in Drive. Obviously the tone would be lighter though. Natalie Portman seems like a good fit for the girl. She seems like the smart type that would play the cello, or perhaps another instrument. |

Re: What movie would you remake?
The Running Man but true to Stephen King's (as Bachman) original story, which is a hard-boiled crackerjack thriller.
I would love a Westworld remake, although I think the late Michael Crichton's version is very good. Mr. Smith Goes to Washington Major Dundee

The 5000 Fingers of Dr. T, starring Johnny Depp and directed by Tim Burton.

![]() No kidding. I swear every now and again I come across yet ANOTHER version that I didn't even know was made. I still hold that 1994's The Puppet Masters kicks ass, though.
