Saw this in a packed theater and it was quiet as a pin for 90% of the film.

I didn't hate Bridesmaids but did find it to be very overrated. Personally, I think Young Adult did a better job covering similar ground.

I glad people keep adding funny movie titles to this thread. At first, I was trying to think of some funny movies since about 1990. Now every new movie added to this thread is an "Oh yeah, I forgot about that one!" moment.

Raising Arizona and Johnny Dangerously are both well over 20 years old.

For me, Kingpin is probably the funniest movie I've seen in 20 years, followed closely by Dumb and Dumber.

I don't doubt it. I got sort of a Wes Anderson vibe from it in that it's the kind of material that's going to leave to some people cold and other people will click with it and be totally in sync. My friends are about evenly split on Andersons stuff, but we all loved this.
I think it's from the same guy that did Napolean Dynamite, which I still haven't seen yet.

Forgot to mention Black Dynamite. That would absolutely be up there at the top of the heap. I would put it on par with Young Frankenstein in terms of quality both in the level of the humor, the strength of the material outside of the jokes, as well as the affection for the genre it's sending up.

Forgot about CRANK 2, since it's probably filed in my memory bank as an action film, but I did laugh a lot when I saw it.
