I liked it. A return to 'old' Michael Bay. There were definitely many liberties taken with the story, but that's to be expected. Lots of laughs.
Where was Kurt Angle's cameo?

In the flashback scene of the Rock in prison, he got in a fight with him while lifting weights.

I liked it enough. Not the best film I've seen this year or anything but an okay popcorn flick. I thought in some parts it felt a little bit long and maybe could have benefited from being about twenty minutes or so less. Overall though I liked the actors, particularly Dwayne Johnson who I feel has really been getting better as an actor in recent roles. It was also cool to see Kurt Angle's cameo. If Michael Bay would do more films similar to this, Bad Boys, The Rock, etc; I think he'd actually make some decent movies instead of taking old franchises and shitting on them.

A friend of mine said that it was like Domino and that if you liked or like Domino then you will like Pain and Gain. I fucking love Domino, but will wait for the Blu.

I love KK's nice little titties but that is all I remember from Domino. I think I liked the action. I don't remember it though.

haha, me too.
May watch it this morning. It's one of Tony Scott's craziest edited flicks and I think it was Edgar Ramirez's debut and Mickey Rourke being a badass.

This movie is absolutely nothing like Domino. Domino was a horribly edited, barely viewable mess.

Domino is an awesome movie. I view it as a drug-fueled, ADD, panic attack of a movie. Unconventional and completely bonkers.
Will probably catch Pain and Gain next weekend.

I thought it was entertaining. I read the newspaper series ahead of time so I basically knew the plot and what was going to happen, but it didn't hurt my entertainment level. I read a couple of critic reviews and saw a handful that would mention certain aspects of the plot being "unrealistic" and hurting the film....when they were aspects of the story that really happened. I won't spoil them, but if you're a critic, is it asking too much to at least KIND OF research before you write a review? It's the most ridiculous crime story I've ever read, and the actual true story is more bizarre and screwed up than the film's story.

I enjoyed it. But I enjoy pretty much all of Michael Bay's movies. It's just an average movie that could have been great had the Coen brothers directed it. Had some funny moments too. It was too long though, could have easily cut 20 minutes and it would have been better.

I just saw it tonight and was blown away. It was extremely entertaining and hilarious how stupid the characters were. The cast was excellent, especially Dwayne Johnson, and Mark Wahlberg was both amusingly deluded and disturbingly insane and scary. Also I was impressed with the camera work and editing of the film. I read some critics claiming it was a hyper edited A.D.D. shaky cam film, when it was far from it. Shots actually lasted more than a few seconds instead of split second hyper cuts, compared to some films today and Bay was stylish but not overboard, that the film moved at a nice pace, and didn't seem overlong to myself.
This is easily Bay's best movie in a long time, and I'd love to see more work like this from him.

Chalk one up for the Loved It crowd, I didn't expect it to be that funny.
Love The Rock's Pearly Whites.

We watched this last night it was terrible. Not even close to as interesting and quirky as Fargo, and my girlfriend couldn't get over how much Bay objectifies woman throughout the whole movie. It was a bit excessive. I think the story if handled by a director with less add and at a slower pace just better editing could have done a lot with this story but I didn't care about anyone in the movie, and then Ed Harris showing up more than half way through. It was too jumbled.
