If you'd like to read them, these are the three articles about the "Sun Gym Gang" that were adapted for the film. If they stick close to the real events, it'll be a lot grimmer than the tone of the trailer implies.

I like that they're playing dumbasses.
Will we get at least one visceral action sequence? I DEMAND IT!

Ugh. How i Hate that look Bay always has in his movies now. That color palette, man. It bothers the shit out of me.
I'm iffy on the trailer. Concept and cast seemed rocking even w/ Bay. Now I'm only in it to see wtf else The Rock does in it. I'll see it if it gets good word.

Granted, I haven't seen any of the Transformers movies, but I've never been a Michael Bay hater.
The Rock, Bad Boys II, and Armageddon are all movies I really enjoy.

Saw the trailer before Jack Reacher today and am totally psyched for it now that I know a bit of what it's about.

This had a $25m budget, has Bay ever directed something that cheap?
Edit: Yup, Bad Boys was $19m.

Just came here to post the trailer, its great to see that R rated Michael Bay is back. Also wish he could do Bad Boys 3.

Yeah, definitely looks like old school Michael Bay.
As for a potential Bad Boys 3, if he makes it like the lean and mean Bad Boys and not the bloated piece of shit that is Bad Boys II, I'd like to see him make another.

Bad Boys 2 >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Bad Boys
It's not even close.

I hate Bad Boys II. It was so excessive that the whole thing just became numbing. It needed at least 30 minutes (if not more) chopped right out of the finished cut.

In some ways, I still think Bad Boys is Bay's best, because it was so lean and mean. Almost every film since has been dragged down by excess. I was hoping this would be a return to form... it certainly shouldn't be more than 2hrs. I guess we'll see... one thing you can't deny - he puts all of his budget on the screen.

Could be funny, could be stupid. Probably wait for Netflix on this one.
And how many movies is that going to be for The Rock this year, good grief. I know GI Joe was a hold over from 2012 but this will be 4 movies out from him in a short amount of time this year (Snitch, GI Joe, Fast and Furious 6, Pain & Gain) and supposedly a 5th (Empire State) this year as well.
