Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum. Finally someone made a movie featuring two people I don't even want to watch in a 30sec commercial.

Currently a 94% on Rotten Tomatoes. I don't know how much that means considering the movie is still a few days from release but I was expecting it to get panned from the start. If they pulled this off and made it an enjoyable popcorn comedy then I'll check it out.

I got to see a screening a few weeks ago, and had a blast. Maybe it was my low, LOW expectations, but my interested peaked a bit when I saw who directed the film, being a fan of Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, and a HUGE fan of Clone High. I think my joy was with the direction of the film, and some of the choices they made. I won't spoil anything since it's still in theaters, but the little seen in the trailer Rob Riggle made me giddy as all hell, because I'm a big fan of his. Actually may see it in theaters again.

R rated movie from the guys that directed Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs? Yeah I'm watching this.

This movie is definitely the comedy to beat for the year, it's quite hilarious and modest.

I usually steer clear of both Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill but I'll be damned if this doesn't look funny. If it does indeed turn out to be good, perhaps Tatum will get some respect from me for his comedic performances.

Not a Tatum fan but do find Hill funny. I never watched the series consistently, just knew the general format. How familiar with the show do you have to be to enjoy the movie?

I've been really looking forward to this. I've always disliked Tatum. Something about him just rubs me the wrong way. It'll be interesting to see him in a comedy.

I'm really looking forward to this. I read they even got
in the movie as an undercover officer.

Didn't have much hope for this after seeing the trailer, but it seems to be getting positive buzz now so I'll probably be seeing it this weekend.

Havent seen this addressed anywhere, but is Tatum's character a relation of the original Captain on the TV show?

Saw it. Laughed my ass off for the most part. Surprised this didn't get an NC-17, but I'm sure there will be an unrated BR in the future. Hill and Tatum have good chemistry, and I typically don't care for the latter . Only one gripe:

I thought it was obvious too, considering the camera was on him quite a few times. They wouldn't do that unless he was important.

I honestly didn't even think about it, but I'm sure when I watch it again I'll notice it.
Anyway, just got back from seeing this about an hour ago. Completely hilarious. Loved it.

^I'm almost sure in that first scene, his only line is "I'm D.E.A."... if it isn't, that is what I heard while watching it. Loved the movie for the most part - a few small issues here and there, but Lord/Miller killed it IMO.

Just got back from it and liked it a lot. Thought it was one of the better comedies in a while to be honest. It might have been my low expectations that made it better and watching the trailers I wasn't all that interested but between reading the positive reviews and my friend wanting to see it made me decide to tag along. I never watched the show and usually don't care for Jonah Hill and I honestly haven't seen Channing Tatum in very many films but they were a good pairing in this. I liked the bit in the beginning where they reference the fact that it's a shameless rehash of something old and expect audiences not to notice .
