Adrian Lynes' Indecent Proposal
I saw this film for the first time last night. Don't know why i waited this long to see this classic. Demi Moore was smokin hot She also gave a great performance along with Robert Redford and Woody Harrelson. The plot is just as relevant back then as it is today (Recession, Housing market crash) If this was remade i could see Scarlett Johansson and Ryan Gosling as the couple and maybe Burt Reynaolds as the millionaire. Music, cinematography were all great. The only thing i didn't like was the forced happy ending.

I thought it was stylish dreck. Nowhere near as good as Lyne's Fatal Attraction.
I have a problem with your casting. Redford was 57 when he played the millionaire role, Reynolds would be 76 if he played that role today. I also highly doubt Ryan Gosling would sign on for a project like this.
Anyway, glad you enjoyed it and yeah Demi looked good.

Is this a joke? This movie was fucking godawful back then and it's most likely even more laughable now. Moore and Harrelson were two of the stupidest characters I'd ever seen in a film. Aside from a good beat-off scene or two, just a complete clusterfuck.

Re: Adrian Lynes' Indecent Proposal
By the way, if Hollywood so desired, this movie could be remade so easily. There are literally hundreds of different combinations of rich older guy/youngish poor couples that could be cast today.
The question is whether it needs to be remade and my answer would be a definite no.
But if a remake HAD to be done, George Clooney in the Robert Redford Role would be perfect. That's all the star power that would be necessary so two completely unknown mid 20's actors could be cast in the Woody and Demi roles.

I will defend mhg83 by giving praise to Woody's drunken "Cuckoo" speech near the end of the film. Truly a brilliant moment.

I haven't seen this since it was new.
Now I kinda want to see it again. And as for the remake, make it a reunion of The Ides of March, with Gosling, Evan Rachel Wood, and Clooney.

Re: Adrian Lynes' Indecent Proposal
Indecent Proposal gave us Demi Moore writhing around on a pile of money in only her underwear, and for that, it will always have a special place in my heart.

This won the year's Razzie Award for Worst Picture. Was really popular in the theaters too- ran it for a few months, opening nights sold out. I still have the red band teaser with Demi rolling around in money.

Older chicks/younger guys are the "hot" thing right now. I'm sure the remake would consist of a "Cougar" going after a young guy.
If remade I say, Demi Moore in the Robert Redford role, Ashton Kutcher in Demi Moore's place, and Katherine Heigl in Woody's role.
Damn, I need to move to Hollywood ASAP. I'd be king!
