Chevy looks like a smug dick, as usual.
AMH looks...weird. He is aging strangely.
Don't know the Audrey actress's name. She looks good.
Beverly D'Angelo has had some bad work done, IMO.

Looks like both Audrey and her mom have had a little work done. Maybe that's what they've been spending their vacation money on in the last few years.

As the VACATION reboot/spin-off has been developing, questions have been arising on what the plot will consist of. Well, now we know where the road will take grown-up Rusty Griswold played by Ed Helms.
First, writers John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein set the record straight on which of the four Rusty's Helms grew up to be, “I guess the first Rusty. Or his own Rusty. That’s the good answer for that.”
Then for the reveal from Daley:
“It’s another road trip back to Wally World,” Daley said. “He realized that his original trip to Wally World brought the family, the Griswold family, closer together and he kind of chose to forget about the horrible moments along the way and decides that what his family needs is some bonding time and wants to take them back on the road again. Safe to say the road to Wally World has not gotten any easier.”
As you all already know, the first VACATION film introduced us to the Griswolds, and Clark's desire/obsession to take the family to fictional park, Wally World. Is it proper to pay homage so exactly? Shpuld Rusty have planned his own trip elsewhere? But going back to Wally World was the plan the writers had all along:
“I think it was always part of our intention,” Goldstein said. “We felt like in continuing a franchise like this, there’s a certain amount of homage you have to pay to the original but we also wanted to make this very much its own movie that can stand on its own. So we chose our favorite elements from the original and then used that as a springboard. I think people have an affection for the whole Wally World component of the story.”
Let's not get our wires crossed here though, there will be differences and Daley wants fans to know that Rusty will not simply imitate his father, “As opposed to going along with the same family structure as the first one with a brother and sister, now Rusty and his wife Debbie have two boys with their own very unique dynamic."

Ed Helms will suck in this role. I also love Vegas Vacation. Never watched European Vacation. Enjoyed Christmas as a kid but haven't seen it since.
I always found it funny when Vacation would show on HBO and they would show it full screen how Beverly D'Angelo's shower scene would show her wearing old school panties but when OAR you don't see that.

What are the chances we get a scene where Helms sings. They don't do that nearly enough in his movies.

I thought that National Lampoon Family Reunion idea talked about in the 90s was interesting. Vegas Vacation was so bad National Lampoon didn't have it's name on it. Well if it must be reboot Joel McHale would be a great Clark.

1) Vegas
2) Christmas
3) Vacation (original)
4) European
You just cannot have too much Randy Quaid (Cuz Eddie) screen time.

What the hell is this?!! (literally)
Not on the new announcement, just on what I saw on IMDB...
Hotel Hell Vacation
it's a 14 minute long Vacation short made in 2010 (with both Chevy Chase and Beverly D'Angelo in it).
Has anyone seen this? How... good (or more likely bad)... is it???
(EDIT: Also on Wikipedia)
(EDIT AGAIN: It's viewable on Hulu)

Christina Applegate is in final negotiations to star opposite Ed Helms in Vacation, New Line’s update of the classic comedy movie series.
John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein are directing the project, which plays like a sequel and a reboot of the Chevy Chase franchise that began with the 1983 Harold Ramis-directed National Lampoon's Vacation. That film was written by John Hughes and based on his own experiences on family vacations.
The new movie follows Rusty, played by Anthony Michael Hall in the original but now portrayed by Helms, as he takes his family on a road trip similar to the one he and his parents and sister took when he was young.
Applegate would play Helm’s strong-willed wife who might be losing interest in him.
The movie is Applegate’s first since leaving the NBC sitcom Up All Night after it was set to be revamped. The last film she starred in was 2011's Hall Pass, also for New Line. She is shooting Anchorman: The Legend Continues.
Applegate is repped by CAA, Management 360 and Hansen Jacobson.

Chevy Chase and Beverly D'Angelo in Talks to Return to 'Vacation'
The new movie focuses on the misadventures of Rusty Griswold, being played by Ed Helms in this sequel-slash-reboot.
Chevy Chase and Beverly D’Angelo are in negotiations to reprise their classic roles of Clark and Ellen Griswold for New Line’s reboot of Vacation.
Ed Helms and Christina Applegate are starring in the movie, which will be directed by John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein.
The sequel-cum-reboot follows the son of the Griswold clan, Rusty (played by Anthony Michael Hall in the original and now by Helms), as he takes his family on a road trip similar to the one he and his parents and sister took when he was young.
At one point, he visits his parents, with his dad giving him Griswoldian advice.
The casting of Chase and D’Angelo is no surprise as it was always New Line’s intention to nab the duo for cameo roles.
