1) The source I posted wasn't released until today.
2) None of the comments on this page - going back to yesterday - had anything to do with the article.
3) Now you have a source to cite instead of somebody's block quote on the previous page.

to this news. Maybe the next time they do the movies, they won't be Bourne-wannabes and actually be FUN with an actor who looks more like Bond should and less like a villain in the movie.

Agreed. Craig's Bond films always made me think of what FROM RUSSIA WITH LOVE would be like if Robert Shaw's Red Grant had been made the hero.

Well, this is certainly disappointing. I loved CR, and thought QoS was good, just not great. I was hoping to see a continuation of this new storyline sooner rather than later. I hope this MGM debacle gets sorted out posthaste. I want my 007 and Hobbit films.

Can the producers make a movie WITHOUT MGM? Meaning can they go to another studio? I'm sure there are a few who would gladly welcome a chance to release the next BOND film.
This is similar to the UNITED ARTISTS trouble that occurred between LICENSE TO KILL and GOLDEN EYE. One wonders if Craig might be a two-movie Bond as well. Somewhere, Timothy Dalton is laughing his ass off.

I like Craig as Bond. I like the new take on him. He seems more "realistic" in terms of physical action and modern day warfare technique. You know..he could kick ass like a soldier but also be an agent.

Disappointing news. I figure it will be a minor bump in the road though.

Discouraging news. At first I was unsure about DC, but that quickly passed. I hope they do not move forward with yet another 'reboot'.

Every time I said something along those lines I heard, "What are you talking about! These are the best Bond films ever!!".
He had his run, ok thats fine. They tried to make a Bourne film, ok well there ya go, now lets return to what Bond films are supposed to be!
I would have been fine with Pierce again for several go-rounds.

Why should they given the last two were the biggest moneymakers of the series? I"m sorry you didn't like them but I'm afraid you're in the minority.

No offense but I like the new Bond via Craig. Just seems more believable in the world they have for him. I got tired of Bond using lasers and etc. Yes, I loved some of those films that incorporated awesome things but....I see this Bond being a real agent in our world. As somewhat farfetched it does go at times. QoS could've been better though...much better. Good action flick, ok Bond film.

I like Bourne, I think it's a good mix of thriller/espionage etc. I think they're good films, got them on Blu too. BUT I can see the comparisons on Craig's Bond and Bourne. Again spies (well Bourne's and ex-spy but you know what i mean) and grittyish action. Bourne is more thriller though. Bond isn't that. He's a mix. In Bourne you're always on the run, Bond...well he's backed by an agency. So things get fast and then slow down. Very different tones in the films. Also...Bond is....Bond. We all know what makes him Bond. Bourne and Bond as characters share very little.

Re: James Bond 23 - News, Rumors, Cast, Etc.
The Bond series has been aping whatever was the popular flavor of the moment since the early 70's
Whether it was blaxploitation, kung fu, space opera, or scarface/miami vice drug gangsters in the late 80's. Bond stopped setting the trends a long time ago.
Which makes it ironic that, despite trying to emulate the uber-annoying Greengrass shaky cam/2 frame edits style, the series was finally starting to carve out a special niche for itself. If the delay isn't too long, and we can finally get past the shaky cam/nano second edit style, we still might get something good- but it's not looking positive at the moment. We were already looking at a 3 year gap, now it will be at least 4.
