I took the nephews to see The Phantom Menace today (I know it's a terrible film, but they love it), and it was interesting how after thirteen years of seeing their careers grow, it's much easier to see when it's Keira Knightley and when it's Natalie Portman as the queen. For instance, when R2D2 is commended for saving the ship shields, Keira as the Queen gives her very distinctive smile.

I re-watched Public Enemies recently and was stunned to see so many familiar faces (and even more stunned that I missed several of these back when I saw it in theaters):
David Wenham
Stephen Dorff
Channing Tatum
Carey Mulligan
Giovanni Ribisi
Stephen Graham (I love him as Al Capone on Boardwalk Empire)
Leelee Sobieski
Possibly more that I'm forgetting.

This sounds really pathetic, but I never noticed that he was on TNG. I think there was only one story that even remotely involved him - when his wife got shrunken down to a kid - but I never watched it because I fell asleep after the first 10 minutes and every review i've read trashed the episode. So when I started watching DS9, I had no clue why the fuck they kept referencing the Enterprise. I thought they just established him as being on TNG without ever showing him.

Yeah, other than the main cast, he probably had the most screen time.

I was actually about to resurrect this thread myself.
I was preparing for The Dark Knight Rises this weekend by rewatching Nolan's first two Batman flicks when I noticed that the blonde kid that plays Joffery on Game of Thrones also plays the little boy who talks to Batman as he's scaling the side of a building and then later in the movie is rescued by Rachel when the gas is released in the streets of Gotham in Batman Begins.

I'm watching The Great Outdoors (1988), which I remember viewing several times back when it first hit cable. But I haven't seen it in ~20 years. So I'm watching now and thinking, "That actress playing the wife of Dan Akroyd's character looks really familiar." It took me a few minutes to realize who it was and even then I wasn't sure until I confirmed it via IMDB. Annette Bening, in her first feature film:

I just recently rewatched the Traci Lords classic Not Of This Earth (1988) & recognized the motorcycle cop as one of the regulars on World's Dumbest..., Roger Lodge.

I just watched Jurassic Park for the first time in awhile. I never recognized B.D. Wong (of Oz, Law & Order, and Awake fame) before.
Funny... I avoided watching Modern Family specifically because I hated him so much in the Dawn of the Dead remake. I finally caught a few episodes on a plane a few months ago, and now it's on my list of shows that I NEED to catch up on. I identify with his character sometimes.

I just now noticed Bryan Cranston in Saving Private Ryan. And I always seem to forget Cuba Gooding in Coming to America.

Back to Colm Meaney...I noticed him while watching 'Dick Tracy' a few months back playing a cop.

I'm looking at Taxi Driver on El Rey right now.
I never knew that was Joe Spinell at the beginning.
