it's the style of that opening that gives off that bollywood. That...fantastical exoticness of Bollywood (as much as I hate Bollywood's quality of films...great productions on a lot I see)

Those snowy forest scenes look like they were shot on a 50 x 50 ft soundstage. With styrofoam snow. Ugh, just awful.
I hate Kristen Stewart as much as any other sane person, but Huntsman blew this out of the water.

Has Tarsem sold out? Like...are they going to fund something that Tarsem wants so he decided to do this or what?

This just doesn't interest me. I have no doubt Tarsem will make something entertaining and visually interesting, but this looks strictly for kids.

Julia was on Ellen this afternoon and they showed a short sequence from the movie where the Queen is being made up - and it's sooooo Tarsem - the editing and visual is off the wall - think L'Oreal meets Ann Margret 'beans and chocolate' scene from 'The Who's Tommy' ... with animals.

Well I was as well and she's a very pretty girl. I just find them highly distracting and detracting from her beauty. Didn't mean to offend. I guess u can have a hetero mustache ride with those.
And I do love Tarsem's visual aesthetic. I liked The Fall very much.

the more natural the eyebrows the more interesting she is to me...well that and she has to be pretty.

Yeah, I like her as well. And the eyebrows look just fine. Like a young Jennifer Connely.

I must say I really enjoyed this, more so than 'Wrath of the Titans' - the opening scene alone is breathtaking - Tarsem really delivers the visuals and slightly different approach to the traditional story. I liked the Dwarves - very Time Bandits-esque.
try to see this in digital because the imagery and colors are so tactile and vibrant.
