Queens of Country (2011) - Lizzy Caplan, Ron Livingston, Maynard James Keenan

Directed by: Ryan Page & Christopher Pomerenke
Written by: Ryan Page, Christopher Pomerenke & Serene Dominic

Synopsis:
Living in a fantasy era long gone and obsessed with old time country stars, the prettiest girl in a small Arizona town finds a lost iPod filled with songs that speak to her sensitive heart. Jolene Gillis is convinced the owner is her soul mate and she is thrust into a sexy, heartwarming and hilarious adventure of mistaken identities, ATVs, line dancing competitions, kidnappers, time machines and doppelgangers.

I dig the premise, it is chock-full of potential. Plus I'm a big fan of both Lizzy Caplan and Ron Livingston.

...hrm...trailer gives a bad cheesy vibe BUT...I also see where it could be a good movie. Premise is interesting....I'll keep an eye out for it.

This is about what I'd expect a Puscifer movie to look like.

Ah yes. Maynard James Keenan in a movie about a lost iPod full of country music. Certainly saw that coming.

Edit: okay, maybe the iPod is filled with the exact opposite of country music, and that's why she loves it so much. She falls in love with "Stinkfist."

That looks pretty fuckin' weird.

Great to see Lizzy Caplan in a lead roll.
