R.I.P. Richard Lynch
Richard Lynch, best known for playing villainous characters in a career that spanned more than 40 years, has died. He was 76. Lynch’s rep Mike Baronas says the actor’s body was found today at his Palm Springs home by a friend and no investigation was planned into the cause of death. With his platinum hair and scarred face, Lynch was cast in dozens of sci-fi and horror films, including the Halloween franchise. Among his roles was serial killer Michael Myers’ high school principal in Rob Zombie’s Halloween remake in 2007. His most recent role was in Zombie’s upcoming movie, The Lords of Salem. His other films include Bad Dreams, The Sword and the Sorcerer, Scarecrow, The Ninth Configuration, and Little Nikita. TV series include Battlestar Galactica, The A-Team, Six Feet Under and Star Trek: The Next Generation. Lynch had said he permanently scarred his face in 1967 when he took LSD and set himself on fire.

I remember him best from Invasion USA. He scared the hell out of me in that movie when I was little!
I never knew the story about how his face got like that.

He was great in all his rolls. I was particularly fond of him in Trancers 2 and Puppet Master 3.

RIP
I remember him mostly for Bad Dreams. I always liked when he popped up on a television series though. He had some good appearances on Highlander, TNG, Hunter, and a few others. Just looked at his filmography and saw a film called Mil Mascaras vs. the Aztec Mummy. He played the President of the United States. I definitely need to check that out.

So many great roles. Even though I was never fond of the film, I always remember him in Wolfen. He made a lot of films much more memorable due to his undeniably creepy presence. I may just have to throw in Invasion U.S.A. tonight.

I remember him most from his guest appearances on Battlestar Galactica and Buck Rogers in the 25th Century.
He really had a creepy, evil presence. He just looked like a guy who could kill you without a second thought and just walk away drinking a Coke or something.
He had one hell of a career playing really bad guys.
