Hasbro should do M.A.S.K. or Zoids. But I'm sure we'll get a Nerf movie before either of those.

I felt the same way. It was fun and breezed by. It felt like a better version the first Transformers flick.

They should have just named the movie "The Beacon Project" and it would have sold better. The whole Battleship thing tied to the game made everyone laugh. Other than the "call out the location of the missiles part" it really had nothing to do with battleship. Wasn't a great movie but wasn't horrible either.

So I'm a little behind ... just watched Battleship over the weekend. Some random thoughts ...
Laughable, but no worse than most of Michael Bay's stuff. Definitely an entertaining popcorn flick.
I really liked the creature design (interesting that they were very human/ape-like) and thought they had some potential their backstory (they weren't overtly evil ... they didn't attack first and they didn't attack unless threatened). I should know better than to expect story out of a movie like this though.
I couldn't figure out why their intergalactic spaceships were little more than puddle-jumpers in the water.
I would actually say the biggest negative was Rihanna, not the absurd storylines.

Recently watched the movie expecting a fun action flick. Wow was I wrong. This was so bad. Nothing made any sense at all and really stretched credibility in that fiction.
So they can fly over to Earth and create a huge force field but they can only fly a 100 yards before plopping down on the water? And a handful of seamen and WWII veterans can make a museum a functional battleship?
I enjoyed the real life veterans especially the double amputee however the movie was so bad it was almost disrespectful.
Worst movie I've seen in a long time. I enjoyed battle LA much more.

Then the movie started and nothing, nothing made sense. But, once they turned the museum ship into a functional vessel, I just said fuck it. I'm here, I might as well enjoy my self. And I did.
Tried to watch it again on HBO a few weeks ago and could only make it through 30 minutes or so. Lightning did not strike twice.
