Totally. This reaction shit is stupid. You want a trailer reaction? Somebody get an audience reaction in the theaters. Not this shit at your home. Also...if you're going to post yourself. Put it in a spoiler or something. Just weird to see somebody's face pop up the in the middle of all the posts.

The death toll in the first film is only 5 (Googled it). 4 of which were employees, 2 of which were employees who directly dealt with the animals. Another of which would be portrayed as the responsible party to the whole thing as opposed to a victim.
Compare that to this:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Incidents_at_Disney_parks
Again, if a company saw billions of dollars in opening such an attraction they could probably manage to rationalize moving forward after settling with the families of the 4 victims and blaming it all on the other.
In the often-illogical world of monster movies I can't think of many scenarios that make more sense than a company proceeding with their luctrative dinosaur theme park in spite of a handful of deaths.
And it goes without saying that the premise of this movie is that stuff happens in a park that obviously doesn't have people regularly dying when the events of the film begin.

Since we are hung up on the water-lizard (can we call him Nessie? ) ... Did anybody else find the "crowd splash" to be a bit hokey?

I didn't mean the fact they were splashed (they should be!)... I meant a creature of that size would create a sizable splash. They looked like somebody was throwing a bucket of water on them -- the angle and amount of water looked cheesy.
Yes, I am nitpicking, but it stood out when I saw it.

Not too impressed with this trailer either. It's better than the Star Wars teaser but not by a whole lot. I guess proper trailer editing is becoming as lost an art form as beautiful movie posters.
Also, what's with all the excessive use of blue? The production design, wardrobe, and then the color timing are all blue. I felt like I was watching a Viagra commercial.

Yeah. A lot of blue in there. Bothers me how some films are scared of just showing up natural colors brought forth by what is already there.

The website has information on the genetically modified dino they created, apparently.

We set out to make Indominus the most fearsome dinosaur ever to be displayed at Jurassic World. The genetic engineers at our Hammond Creation Lab have more than delivered. At first glance, Indominus most closely resembles a T. Rex. But its distinctive head ornamentation and ultra-tough bony osteoderms can be traced from Theropods known as Abeliosaurs. Indominus’ horns have been placed above the eye orbit through genetic material hybridized from Carnotaurus, Majungasaurus, Rugops and Giganotosaurus. Fearsome indeed.
Indominus’ roar is estimated to reach 140-160db—the same as a 747 taking off and landing. And it can reach speeds of 30 mph...while confined to its enclosure. Come experience Indominus Rex for yourself beginning this summer. If you dare.

If they are genetically modified dinosaurs, it makes sense to just alter an "existing" creature ... Still not sure why you would modify something to make it bigger and meaner for a zoo though. If you were working on a weapons contract, maybe.
