If you could go back in time and show one film to a 1930's audience, what would it be? Obviously your choice of film will depend on what type of emotion you want them to exhibit...shock, wonderment, horror, awe, disgust, etc.

Wrong forum but good question.
I'd imagine something with a strong f/x would have the most impact, so in light of the recent rerelease, I'll go with Jurassic Park (it was mind blowing seeing dinos come to life in 94, imagine seeing that 60 years sooner) although Avatar would be a good one though. Amazing f/x + 3D and the plot would feel completely fresh to a 1930's audience.

Terminator 2. I think everyone would of shit their pants if they had seen this one back then.

Avatar is a good choice as the 3D is the best I've seen.

Pretty much any Adam Sandler movie, just to demonstrate that society has crumbled.

I would show them Star Wars. They would trip out because it would start off as like a typical Buck Rogers serial.

2016: Obama's America. Maybe we could have avoided our current debacle if people had been warned.

I'd say 2001 as a serious answer.
Although it would be fun to show them Django Unchained.
