In Time (10/28/11) Andrew Niccol's new film
Andrew Niccol's (Gattaca, Lord of War, The Truman Show) latest film:
Cast:
Justin Timberlake
Cillian Murphy
Amanda Seyfried
Olivia Wilde
Matt Bomer
Plot:
In a not-too-distant future when the aging gene has been switched off, people must pay to stay alive. To avoid overpopulation, time has become the currency and the way people pay for luxuries and necessities. The rich can live forever, while the rest try to negotiate for their immortality. A poor young man is accused of murder when he inherits a fortune of time from a dead upper class man, though too late to help his mother from dying. He is forced to go on the run from a corrupt police force known as 'time keepers'.
------------------------
Niccol has a proven track record as both a writer and director, so I'm looking forward to this.

At the very least you have to credit them for coming up with an original idea.

Looks very interesting and I will definately see it but I had to stop watching the trailer about halfway through because it felt like I was getting the whole plot of the movie.

And, hey, I quite like S1m0ne.
However, how I do wish Matt Bomer was the lead but (spoiler from trailer)

That said, my sister loves the guy as well. She about flipped when she found out they were filming by her office - and yes she's aware he doesn't go for chicks.

Justin Timberlake isn't an awful actor, but he's not that good either. I don't know why he's in this movie, unless the studio forced him, or a bunch of actors turned the role down.

I think he has incredible screen presence and a high likability factor for males and females, and across a wide age group.
This means big bucks for studios.

I don't know about "incredible screen presence" being what he has, yeah...I don't see it. He has good charisma but doesn't command the screen. DDL has incredible screen presence.

This movie looks pretty stylized. I love Niccol's films. Gattaca and Lord of War would probably make my personal top 25 but this... I'm not sold. Will be waiting for Rotten Tomatoes score.

I enjoyed the script quite a bit, Roger Deakins is my favorite working cinematographer, Amanda Seyfried is hot as fuck, and I want to see how the ALEXA preforms on the big screen... I'm hoping to make it to a showing this weekend.

I was mildly interested in seeing this. Now that I realize what other work Andrew Niccol has done, I will be sure to see this.
