Re: Movies that sat on the shelf a long time.

I have a "Knockaround Guys" trailer too- that wasn't released til after I finally got out of the theater business (thanks, Regal!)

Another delayed movie, Madison (I remember seeing the trailer for it, but never saw the movie come out) Best known for Jake Lloyd's lone other movie.
The other being Jingle All The Way, right?

The 1989(ish) movie "Staying Together" was originally titled "Boys" according to a trailer on the original Princess Bride VHS (which my at-the-time girlfriend forced me to fast-forward through- bitch!)

First one that popped into my head: Margaret, Kenneth Lonergan's followup to his 2000 movie You can Count on Me.

Stars Matt Damon, Mark Ruffalo, Anna Paquin, Allison Janney, Matthew Broderick, Jean Reno, Kieran Culkin, Krystin Ritter, Olivia Thirlby, Rosemarie DeWitt.

Filming dates: 12 September 2005 - 23 November 2005.

Supposed to be released this year, but I wouldn't hold my breath. The release date has been pushed back time and time again due to Lonergan's inability to produce a final cut.

Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer. Filmed in 1986, released in 1989. Saw it on DVD years ago and remains one of the best horror movies I've ever seen. Deeply disturbing and unsettling.

Currently, David O. Russell's Nailed is mostly completed and has been sitting on the shelf.

No shit. The alternate "ending" on the DVD starts at about the midpoint of the movie!

No clue what happened to this one. It's either dead or in limbo.
