The Kevin Bacon thriller Trapped from a few years ago was on the shelf for a while. I really liked it.

Jerry Lewis flick The Clown That Cried or something like that. Holocaust "comedy" about a clown in a Nazi death camp. It's never been released.

Whatever happened to Bobo The Dog Boy?
I remember sometime around 1986-1987 and Howie Mandel saying he had the starring role.
Its not on IMDB,so I am guessing it never got made.
For some strange reason..I hope I am wrong.

Wikipedia has this:
came out April 26, 2002....so w/ editing and some SFX etc...it shouldn't have come out so much later. Wonder why?
Filming began on March 6, 2000 and ended on April 30, 2000 in Toronto, Ontario.

I think 13th Warrior sat for about a year and half. I remember seeing movie promo copies of the book when it was still entitled "Eaters of the Dead" and coming out in Spring of '98. It wound being released in late August of '99.

I don't think it spanned years but I had a Euro copy of Taken long before there was a buzz for the film in NA. I was surprised when I saw a trailer for it finally getting released here.

Same here. Even the original score was shelved. Although I find Goldsmith's score more entertainig, Revell's score was actually quite good.

^ I heard they had the attraction at Universal's Hollywood Horror Nights for quite some time before it was actually released as well. They apparently had characters from the movie and no one knew wtf they were about, just random freaky stuff by Zombie.

^Regarding House/1000 Corpses, I'm still surprised that Lionsgate's release was still able to obtain so much of Universal's product (House of Frankenstein,The Creature/Black Lagoon) within the film.

Phantasm was filmed in '77 but not released until '79. According to Wikipedia, Phantasm 3 completed filming in '93 (I swear I read somewhere that it was earlier, like '91-'92-ish) but sat on the shelf until '95 when it was released directly to video.

I took the Universal Studio tour in 2000 and the "House of 1000 Corpses" was one of the featured sets they drove us by.

Production was finished in '99 and the original release date coincided with the Columbine High School shootings [April 20, 1999]. The eventual release date was August 31, 2001 since the film includes high school violence.

Walter Hill's Supernova completed filming June 1998 and wasn't released until January 2000.
Andrew Gurland's Cheats, a film I was waiting years for, finished filming in August 2000 and wasn't released until March 2003 (and was direct-to-DVD).
