Judge Reinhold, who starred in such films as "Beverly Hills Cop" and "The Santa Clause" movies, has adopted Arkansas as his new home.
When reading the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette back in September, he was so moved by one of the articles, he developed a mission involving veterans returning home.
The story was about Governor Mike Beebe announcing the state's support in preventing suicide among returning veterans from the War on Terror. Reinhold was involved in another project at the time, but saved the article and decided to make it his mission.
He just released a public service announcement, which he wrote and produced with the help of photographer Steve Childers. The clip features Reinhold talking straight to the camera, speaking candidly on how the public can help returning veterans. The continuing conflicts in Afghanistan and Iraq have produced a growing suicide problem.
Since the article in the paper ran in September, three more suicides have been reported.
The number one cause of these suicides involves relationships. Veterans are returning home to find spouses who have moved on or found someone else; and maybe children who regard them as strangers.
There are financial and work-related problems. The conflicts overseas have lasted so long that bosses are tired of having to make adjustments and oftentimes find other personnel to fill veterans' positions. This results in financial problems which compound the problem.
Alcohol, drugs and in some cases adverse legal actions, are also on the list of suicide causes. It's why, as Reinhold points out, the public has to be diligent in its effort to help those in trouble. Oftentimes, he says, it's tough for these soldiers to ask for help and they come from a culture where it's not proper to show weakness.
Phone help lines are confidential, and are set up to help veterans looking for someone to talk to. They can call 501-242-1867 or 501-212-5621.

Re: Judge Reinhold
The issue I always had with Vice Versa and Like Father Like Son is that they should have swapped dads between the two films. Judge Reinhold would have worked better as Kirk Cameron's dad and Dudley Moore would have been a better fit for Fred Savage Sr.

Re: Judge Reinhold
I didn't realize Snake and Supermallet had such bad blood between them.
AndMickey Rourke Judge Reinhold looks like a piece of plastic fruit. I'd say that Reinhold's most distinguishing feature was his eyes and now he looks like he's constantly trying to shit out a massive turd.
