It's rubbish, whatever the running time.

I actually thought the first half was pretty good and the lead actor was good... however it devolved into total absurdity at the newborn scene, and the big warehouse scene was so over the top that I was actively annoyed by it. Not really worth seeking out, and I don't buy the political "message" of the film either.

Just listened to Film Vaults' "Top 5 Most Disturbing Films"...this came in second on the list, Irreversible took the top spot.
Anywho...decided to see what the perception of the flick was here.
In "researching" on wiki, it states that (also alluded to in the podcast) 4minutes was cut from the run-time in order for it to be released theatrically in the UK.

Shock for shocks sake, totally unjustifiable in terms of political means....just because the production was better than the average exploitation film doesnt mean its a good film.

maybe i have a really high bar for gore/repulsive shit on screen, but i feel i've seen worse. I would say Murder Set Pieces, irreversible and hell maybe even maryters are "worse" in terms of gore/sex/rape whatever.
Also in regards to some of the controversy (spoilering for content)
As far as it being a good movie or not, thats kinda up for debate. its well made, has solid acting, good production value ect (ie as alot of you know most pure exploitation movies look like shit and have really shitty acting). Parts were indeed pretty repulsive, but at the same time, i feel like if you think you can handle it, you should be allowed to seek it out.

After reading all the reviews and hearing all the hype, I finally checked out this film.
Maybe it's too many years of Exploitation films, but I didn't find this film to be that disturbing. Many of the 'shocking' scenes of the film came off as odd because I felt that all of them were a conglomeration of many scenes I had already seen in many other Exploitation films.
The film felt like a semi-greatest hits of randomness from the August Underground Trilogy, Snuff 102 and Subconscious Cruelty.
As some others mentioned here, I thought the lead actor was good and I liked how the entire final act was shot. I also didn't understand the Political Aspect of the film. Stuff like that gets lost when you essentially are creating an Exploitation film that tries to push every boundary available.

I believe it. I do think that Invincible has the right idea, though. I don't know if they also have home video distribution rights to this.

Hmm. That seems odd, although not entirely implausible. Why edit it down to get a theatrical release if you're not going for an R? Unrated and NC-17 movies have a hard time getting into theaters.

from what i read, they were gonna release it completly uncut and uncensored, but due to the controversy over seas (where some countries have banned it all together), they decided to release it sans certain images. Or at least thats what i remember

Looks like this is coming out in the states after all in an edited NC-17 version (edited meaning the more controversial bits are cut out) and the reason is "Extreme Aberrant Sexual and Violent Content including Explicit Dialogue.
This is a "red band" trailer and is NSFW

Distributor Invincible Pictures will also put up a VOD version FlixFling that includes five extra minutes of brutality. They also confirm it will eventually see a home video release by the end of the year.

Re: A Serbian Film (aka Srpski Film) (2010)
most every website I've seen regarding the film's running time states the film is 104 minutes (even NYC's theatrical engagement at the Cinema Village states the film is at said running time even though it's been noted that the NC-17 US cut is in fact 98min.), yet the FlixFling VOD's running time is 103m02sec. Is there really an additional 58 seconds, or is everyone else rounding up the running time? As for the film, I can't say I was all that impressed with it, the first 40 minutes is ponderous - the film could have easily been trimmed to improve the pacing. I also thought the infamous 'baby' scene was going to be alot more graphic - in theory and nature it's OTT, but it's largely implied - 'Cannibal Holocaust's' abortion scene is far more outrageous, graphic and upsetting, even though we all know it's being acted out .

The US version in theatres at NC-17 is 98 minutes. The VOD version on FlixFling is 103 minutes. Both are cut from the full version, which is 104 minutes. The UK version is also 98 minutes, though I don't know if it is the same 98 minutes as the US theatrical version.

Just watched this ... the 104 minute "uncut" version. What can I say ... I'm weak when I hear about movies like this (last time was with "Human Centipede").
The movie had some things going for it. For the most part it was well shot and acted. I think the subtler aspects of the movie were the most effective. The movie builds gradually, and doesn't have any outright horror until the 2nd half. I thought there was tension in the increasing creepiness and menace that Milos (the main character) is realizing with his job.
However, the over-the-top parts didn't work for me. Instead of horrifying me, I found them ludicrous. Some examples (MAJOR spoilers):
A side question: that was a prosthesis the main actor was wielding, right?

Looks like the new "unrated" Blu/Dvd version is censored by over a minute deleting the infamous
scene.

Yep. 103 minutes, no 'newborn porn.'
