I'm hoping to have a review up for the site by Monday. Short story is this is a pretty easy blind buy if you love comedy and especially if you love blaxploitation.

I would say it's the funniest movie I've seen since The Big Lebowski.

The upcoming Death at a Funeral looks HILARIOUS. I vote for that one.

Death at a Funeral is a Neil LaBute film. He usually makes black comedies, but this time he's making a black...pause...comedy.

Re: What Are Your Top 5 Favorite Films Directed by African-Americans?

I just found my favorite #3 movie - I finally saw SWING KIDS. Great film. Christain Bale has always been an amazing actor - this was the first time I saw him in a movie during his teen years.

I'll ask again...but what was the intention for the OP's question? Like was it just an "out of curiousity" kind or thing or what?

Why not? Same thing with, "what are your top 5 favorite films by a female director?" It's just a question in a thread. I don't think there is any deeper meaning to it.
