What's Your Longest Movie Going Streak?

I just noticed that A Serious Man is about to leave theaters around me and I've haven't seen it. This is bugging me since i've seen every Coen Brothers movie in theaters since Fargo (I was 12) and I don't want the streak to end. The only other streak I can think of is Pixar films, i've seen every single one in theaters including the Toy Story Double Feature.

What's your longest streak? It can be for anything, Director, Actor, anything you can think of.

I haven't missed a film I've seen in theaters yet! And I have no intention of breaking that streak.

Gotta be Kevin Smith. I've seen everything since Chasing Amy theatrically.

I sat through "Tommy" FIVE TIMES IN A ROW, when it played at the theater near me as a kid.

Re: What's Your Longest Movie Going Streak?

saw Star Treks 1-9 theatrically, broke my streak for 10. I was pretty sick of ST:TNG at that point, I think.

I guess it's Tarantino. Pulp through Basterds.

Re: What's Your Longest Movie Going Streak?

I saw every Pixar film in the theater except for Cars.

I've seen every Christopher Nolan film in the theater from Memento through The Dark Knight.

I've managed to see every Kubrick film from Paths of Glory through Eyes Wide Shut on film, but only Eyes Wide Shut during its original theatrical run.

Re: What's Your Longest Movie Going Streak?

It would probably be Star Trek for me, too. Hmm, or maybe the Terminator movies, but there's only been four of them, so maybe it won't count... In either case, 25 years.

Re: What's Your Longest Movie Going Streak?

Hmm. That's a tough one. I think my streak's have been short - I saw all 3 Rush Hour films and all 3 Spider-Man's in the theater. I think that's it.

Was there any particular reason why you didn't see What Lies Beneath?

Re: What's Your Longest Movie Going Streak?

I've seen every QT movie since Pulp Fiction.

I had also seen every Tim Burton movie up till Planet of the Apes, but I think most of you will forgive me for that. That streak started when I was 6.

Re: What's Your Longest Movie Going Streak?

Every Pixar film. Period. Most of them twice. I saw both TOY STORY 2 and THE INCREDIBLES three times on opening weekend.

Seen every Star Wars film in first run. I was 6 in 1977 and when I went to see the first movie in the theaters, my love of movies was cemented for life. I also first my first James Bond movie in theaters that year with THE SPY WHO LOVED ME and haven't missed a single one in theaters since.

All I can think of right now.

Re: What's Your Longest Movie Going Streak?

I've seen every Star Wars movie in theaters in their original run; I was barely older than one when I saw ANH.

I also have a perfect theatrical streak with Pixar movies.

I have seen every Harry Potter in theaters, but this past one broke the tradition I had of a first viewing with a girl by my side.

I have caught every Bond movie theatrically since For Your Eyes Only, even though I did walk out on License to Kill.

Re: What's Your Longest Movie Going Streak?

I've seen all of Wes Anderson's films since Rushmore in the theaters. I saw all the Star Wars special editions, the prequel trilogy, and Clone Wars (unfortunately) in the theaters as well. I've seen every Batman film since 1989 on the big screen.

I've also seen every Batman since 1989 theatrically, including Mask of the Phantasm, which was probably the best theatrical release until Nolan's films.

Re: What's Your Longest Movie Going Streak?

Star Wars would've trumped mine but I didn't see ROTJ re-release in '97 in theaters. I saw Episodes I-V though, but not in that order.

Re: What's Your Longest Movie Going Streak?

My longest series-running streak is Batman, with seven: Batman, Batman Returns, Batman: Mask of the Phantasm, Batman Forever, Batman & Robin, Batman Begins and The Dark Knight. Second place is James Bond, with six: Goldeneye, Tomorrow Never Dies, The World Is Not Enough, Die Another Day, Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace. For total series count, Bond wins since I've also seen Goldfinger and The Spy Who Loved Me.

I'm not sure about actor or director streaks, although it occurs to me that I think I've seen every movie written by Robert Orci & Alex Kurtzman theatrically so far (Mission: Impossible III, Transformers, Star Trek and Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen).

Pixar is the only thing I can think of right now.

I've seen every JJ Abrams directed feature, I think. It's just MI:III and ST right?

I didn't see all the movies because I had some determined agenda to see ALL of Harrison Ford's movies. He was one of the biggest movie stars in the world for most of two decades, and he made big Hollywood movies that drew audiences. I went to all the movies that interested me. What Lies Beneath didn't. It wasn't until last year when I happened to look Ford up on Imdb that I realized I had seen so all those movies --and then remembered it when I saw this thread.
