Best David Fincher film

It is super close between Se7en and Zodiac for me. I'm picking Zodiac today, but tomorrow they could flip-flop.

Re: Best David Fincher film

Fight Club, but Se7en and Zodiac are a close second.

Haven't seen The Game.

Alien 3, while very flawed, is still a good film.

Panic Room is mediocre, at best.

Ben Button was a horrific chore to sit through.

^ I figure either Se7en or Fight Club will win this poll easily, but I've never been a big fan of Fight Club.

I know. Honestly, the only reason I haven't is because I'm not a renter and I've been hearing rumors of a better edition for so long that I never bothered to buy the current one. I even passed on the HD DVD in hopes of a special edition rearing its head.

What ever happened to the dude who played Jodie Foster's son in The Panic Room. I always thought he'd go on to bigger things.

Zodiac is best, IMO. Then Se7en; then Fight Club.

I used to say Fight Club but my tastes have shifted and Se7en is superior in my eyes.

Zodiac, easily.

I like The Game and Seven, Button was ok. Fight Club is overrated. Alien 3 is an abomination.

Re: Best David Fincher film

Se7en is my favorite, followed by Fight Club and Zodiac.

Edit: Heh, my answer changed from the previous poll. I guess it's because I watched Se7en most recently.

Re: Best David Fincher film

I'm the one vote for Panic Room. Cool.

I know that I'm wrong, but sometimes a movie just sticks with you and I just really loved this at the theater, so it's the "best" to me even thought I know objectively it's certainly not his best film.

If Panic Room didn't happen to be a personal favorite, I'd definitely go with Zodiac.

Pretty impressive list of films if you ignore Alien 3.

And even that was an interesting and ambitious failure.

I honestly have to vote for Fight Club.

I have to wonder how many people who read the novel rated FC highly versus those that have not read the novel. Having read it, it is one of the largest factors in rating the film so highly. FC is one of the 4 or 5 most remarkable book adaptations I think I have ever seen.

Re: Best David Fincher film

Fight Club is such an uderrated classic... it took me more than one viewing to appreciate it.

His best by far... released today IMHO it would have made a lot more money at the BO.

Zodiac, but Fight Club is a close second and honestly, more fun to watch multiple times.
