Fake Product Placement T-shirt, how many can you Identify?

Dutch Southern has a new t-shirt called “Product Placement”, a design created by Josh Eacret.

It’s a tribute to the fake products and companies found in movies, and to the filmmakers who didn’t want to sell out or get sued by real corporations. Each logo is accurately recreated in painstakingly detail by Josh Eacret’s hand.

Match the Corporation to the movie. I only got 11.

Re: Fake Product Placement T-shirt, how many can you Identify?

a lot of these are not really "fake product placement"
they are simply elements of the story

Spoiler:
for example, Hudsucker Industries from The Hudsucker Proxy. that is not about "product placement." that is the name of the company that the film is about. it is part of the setting and the plot. it is a key part of the fiction

same thing with
the Tyrell corporation (Bladerunner)
the Double Deuce (Road House)
Cyberdyne Systems (The Terminator)
OCP (Robocop)
the Nakatomi building (Die Hard)
Paper Street Soap (Fight Club)
Yoyodyne (Buckaroo Banzai)
Rekall (Total Recall)
Kobayashi Porcelain (The Usual Suspects)

these are all integral to their respective fictions. like the names of characters. there wouldn't be a movie without them

"fake product placement" is more like
Spoiler:
Red Apple cigarettes (from Pulp Fiction). this has no importance to the story and it is barely mentioned in the script. it is just Quentin Tarantino making up a brand name for the heck of it. a real cigarette brand could be substituted and it would make no difference

I'd love to have a Weyland Yutani shirt.

I heard that Adam Sandler was wearing one in one of his movies, I wonder where the hell he got it.

Re: Fake Product Placement T-shirt, how many can you Identify?

You can have shirts made at local t-shirt places all over.

Take them a design or image and they can put it on a shirt, usually they'll want an order of a dozen or something or they charge a little more, but it's in no way expensive.

I just watched 'The Hudsucker Proxy' again a couple nights ago. Love that film.

Most of these logo shirts come from: http://www.lastexittonowhere.com/

I won a shirt from them a few months back, ended up picking the Nexus-6 shirt; it's very good quality.

Around $30 a shirt. I will say to their credit, shipping was amazingly fast, coming from the UK. I had mine in under a week.

I have a Weyland Yutani hat. But that's just cause I nicked it off the promotions department when AvP first came out.

The owl design was on Tyrell's robe later in the movie.

I really enjoy that movie as well.

Last time I watched Raising Arizona I noticed that in the beginning scene, when Cage and Emmett Walsh are working in the metal shop, their blue overalls have HUDSUCKER INDUSTRY printed on them.

Re: Fake Product Placement T-shirt, how many can you Identify?

I got all of them except Elsinore, Chico's Bail Bonds, Death Records, Smeat, Doc Hopper's Frog Legs, Yoyodyne Propulsion Systems, ConSec, Happy Toyz, LesterCorp, Spectacular Optical, The Very Big Corporation of America, CRS and ICS. Of these, I should have known Happy Toyz (just watched it), LesterCorp (should have read the smaller info) and CRS, and I half-guessed The Very Big Corporation of America correctly but didn't actually remember it from the movie. I also imagine if I had seen the films containing Spectacular Optical, Yoyodyne Propulsion Systems and ICS more than once I'd have remembered, and I've seen the film with Smeat several times and I don't remember it at all.

It's a pretty awesome shirt, although there are at least a few logos I think they missed out on:

^ I think that beer might be from Ralph's supermarkets in California. I could be wrong, but that blue font and blue stripe seem awfully familiar. But this is like a 20-year old memory...

I'm pretty sure it's from Repo Man, where all products were in white packages with blue labels describing just the contents. Beer, Chips, Food....
