Dunno if its just a rumor still or what, but according to this:
http://geektyrant.com/news/2010/8/28...sitc-four.html
Alice Eve is still decided to be Susan Storm, chances of change is great though.
Well, why not get someone who actually FOLLOWED the comic series work on the movies they want to make money off of before deciding who should actually screen write and direct? I know it's quite a bit to tackle with these guys but hell, take your time and focus on the personalities then work on which movie should hold which part of the actual true story before decking out the big screen with a cast that people would slobber over?
It was also recently reported that Adrien Brody and Jonathan Rhys Meyers are in talks to play Reed Richards a.k.a. Mr. Fantastic. Obviously the studio is more interested in bringing Brody into the role, and why wouldn't they!? He's an Oscar winner. Alice Eve is also currently the frontrunner for the role of Susan Storm a.k.a. The Invisible Woman, and Kevin Pennington for Johnny Storm a.k.a. Human Torch.

Maybe not to hard, but definately expensive to make a good FF movie. The concept is just too "fantastic", for lack of a better word. The only way the FF will ever work is to give it a budget and the effects/look similiar to a Star Wars film. Reed's lab should look like a Star Wars set.
Something about costume heros in a reality setting seems to clash with me. Looks hokey. Almost like mixing animation with live film. For me backdrops like Gotham City, Victorian era, and 1930's/'40s pulp lends credibility to the concepts.
You can't have people in super hero suits running around in a New York that looks like the New York of The French Connection.

What a mistake, unless they can make the movie for around 60 million.
I do not see myself giving my money for a 3rd time to see the movie.
1st move not perfect, but I did enjoy it. 2nd movie had a few cool sceens, but overall I give it a c+.
The should have done it perfect the first time around.
Though, I did enjoy the 2nd Hulk movie much more than the 1st.

I hope they make Reed a confident scientist and Leader this time around and not the Nerdy reluctant guy like in the past films.

I also think Carla Gugina would make an excellent Sue Storm. Not the drop dead gorgeous that Alice Eve is but still sexy enough to pull off the roll and used to action scenes. She can also pull off the geeky scientist better than Alba

Two things I'd like to NOT see:
1) a retelling of the origin story.
2) Dr. Doom.
I'd personally like to see the Skrulls. I know we'll never get a proper Galactus story, but that would be nice too.

Bruce Willis is rumored to be playing Ben Grimm and voicing a CGI Thing...

Bruce Willis is on the wish list. This is hardly a done deal.
It would be cool though.
Oh and please no Jonathan Rhys Meyers....he's just not right for the RR role.

As cool as having Adrien Brody and Bruce Willis in this would be, it honestly doesn't mean much if they can't get a decent script.

Yup and to go further, the sooner this property goes back to Marvel, the better. FF is tied with West Coast Avengers for my favorite comic series and the fact that it's limited to just Galactus, Dr Doom, and Super Skrull as the big baddies is really really weak. They are the most relatable franchise to the cosmic portion of the Marvel Universe and they should be in crossovers with what Marvel has the rights to.

I'm for Guy Pierce as Mr. Fantastic as well: enough with the young smart wuss actors. Mr. Fantastic needs to be a smart ass-kicker and Guy Pierce fits that perfectly.

^ Willis is just the big budget version of Chiklis. They should throw The Rock's name in there for the role of Grimm/Thing, at least for a laugh.

We could have a director for the reboot. Josh Trank, who directed Chronicle, is being brought in by Fox to start the development process and Tom Rothman said he may end up directing.

I'm not hopeful until I see some casting, a writer, and a trailer. And little by little I could get happy or just fucking get pissed that Fox is being...Fox.

I could give 2 shits after the Avengers. But, they could pull a First Class, so who knows.

They could do a New York team up version. Punisher, Daredevil and the FF are all under the same roof I think.

I still say George Clooney would make a great Reed Richards.
(just realized I quoted an almost 2 year old post . I'll just assume Giantrobo still holds that opinion. )

I always pictured Reed Richards like the Professor from Gilligan's Island. Likable, affable, a little aloof, but then with a wicked confident streak on top of that.
Clooney would be great at it. The character should be slightly older than your typical superhero anyhow. James Woods, 20 years ago, would have been ideal. Same with Alec Baldwin. Heck, even Kiefer Sutherland, playing against his Jack Bauer type, would be interesting.
They shouldn't try to "youth it up" with the Fantastic Four. They are by nature a "cornier" team than the Avengers or X-Men, but don't cheese it up either. Play up the super-cosmic-science elements. I could totally see Clooney & Willis as Reed Richards and Ben Grimm. Johnny and Sue could grab the younger demo. Sue should be the grounded mother-hen of the group, making peace between everyone but ripping them a new one when they need it. Fuck it. Get Naomi Watts.
